 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

X FACTOR JUDGE CHERYL VERSINI,IS TAKING LEGAL ACTION AFTER A PICTURE OF HER NEXT TO COCAINE SURFACED ONLINE.

                        32 year old X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini,was photographed by a fashion journalist in a bathroom at the London Coliseum,where she was one of the many star guests at the 2015 British fashion Awards.The photograph pictured reflection from a mirror where she is washing her hands,but in front of her and slightly to the side are the three lines of a white substance,suspected to be cocaine.The photograph was shared on Instagram by a fashion journalist at the awards ceremony,along with the caption ''Sadness in her eyes''.The picture was later removed from the writer's timeline.Sources claimed that Cheryl was entirely unaware of th lines of cocaine,which appears to have been left by a previous guest who also made use of the bathroom.Cheryl has now begun with legal action to stop the photograph in question from circulating.A legal notice has been sent around to prohibit the publication of the photograph,directly from Cheryl's lawyers.One

             According to the Federal Road Safety Corps {FRSC},who reported on their official website that few hours ago a keke napep is on fire on Apo Bridge in Abuja,though nobody was reportedly hurt and for now nobody knows how the fire started.Mean while,the Independent National Electoral {INEC} today tuesday asked the All Progressives Congress {APC} to pick a new candidate as replacement for late Prince Abubakar Audu in order to continue with the supplementary election.The supplementary election will hold December 5.More photos below.

18 PEOPLE DIED TODAY,AFTER A FIRE OUTBREAK IN A REFUGEE CAMP IN SOUTHERN ALGERIA.

                       Today tuesday it was reported that at least 18 people died and 37 others were injured when a fire broke out at a camp for African refugees in Southern Algeria.The victms of the fire were among 650 Africans being taken in at the camp in the Ourgla province,about 500 km {310 miles} from the capital Algiers.Algeria has started repatriating hundreds of refugees from Niger under an agreement reached with their government.One of their state media said an investigation by security services was still underway to determine causes behind the incident.No details were immediately available about the nationalities of the victims.One more photo below.

THERE WILL BE NO FRESH POLLS IN KOGI STATE-INEC.

                           In a statement issued today and signed by Augusta Ogakwu said ''The Independence National Electoral Commission conducted Governorship Election in Kogi state on 21st November 2015,which was declared inconclusive.On the 23rd November 2015,the All Progressives Congress {APC} notified the Commission of the death of its Governorship candidate in the election,Prince Abubakar Audu.The Commission has,after due consideration of the circumstances,decided as follows {i}To conclude the process by conducting election in the 91 affected Polling Units as announced by the Returning Officer. {ii}To allow the All Progressives Congress to fill the vacancy created by the death of its candidates. {iii}To conduct the supplementary election on 5th December,2015. Accordingly,notice is hereby given to all the 22 political parties participating in the Kogi Governorship Election supplementary election in the 91 affected Polling Units shall hold on 5th December,2015.

LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT SAID TODAY THAT,THEY HAVE REHABILITATED 282 ROADS SINCE JUNE 2015..

                   The Lagos State Government today tuesday said that over 282 roads have been rehabilitated in the last six months,just as it assured residents that the ongoing construction across the metropolis will be completed in due course.General Manager of the Lagos State Public Works Corporation {LSPWC ],Engr.Ayotunde Sodeinde gave the assurance today tuesday while briefing newsmen on the work done so far said that the State Governor,Mr.Akinwunmi Ambode's desire is to see that the roads across the state are motorable.''We have done 282 roads since June 2015 till date.We have listed another 189 roads and anytime from now we would start.We would work every day and night to ensure we make life more comfortable for residents in the state''.He should not forget roads in Satelite town,especially Abulado bus/stop,then streets from that Abuloshun bust/stop {Kareem Giwa street and Dipo Dina estate needs Government attentions too,when i visited these listed areas i d
