 ANAMBRA STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL INSPECTS NEW HIGH COURT COMPLEX: EXPRESSES SATISFACTION  By Chinelo Okeke  The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Anambra State, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, on  Monday, June 1st, 2026, conducted an inspection visit to the state's new High Court building,Complex currently under construction behind the Judiciary Headquarters off Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. Nweke led the team of Commissioners that accompanied him to the inspection which are Arch. Henry Arinze, Commissioner for Housing, with Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, Commissioner for Physical and Urban Development. Attorney General toured the facility and expressed strong satisfaction with the progress and quality of work on the project. Speaking during the inspection, Nweke described the structure as solid and befitting of a modern judicial institution. RUSSIA AMBASSADOR TO TURKEY WAS SHOT DEAD TODAY IN ANKARA TURKEY.{PHOTOS}.

                       According to sources,Andrey Karlov,Russia's ambassador to Turkey,was killed in a shooting today monday.He was giving a speech at the opening ceremony of a photo exhibit when an assailant opened fire.Below the picture showed the ambassador giving a speech beside a man while the picture above shows after when the ambassador was shot dead and a man suspected to be his killer held a pistol down and one of his hand up talking in anger.Authorities haven't said who they believe was responsible for the attack.The gunman was neutralized but it was not immediately clear whether the attacker was killed or captured by the police.Police cars quickly swarmed the scene after the shooting.Emergency vehicles respond to the shooting of the Russian ambassador to Turkey.The attack occurred at the Cagdas Sanat Merkezi modern arts center in Ankara.More photos below.

                  Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday sunday hailed tax payers faithfully,saying the State recorded more Internally Generated Revenue {IGR} this year than what was recorded in the previous year  despite economic recession in the country.As at December 16 this year the State had raked in Two hundred and sixty eight.two billion generated in the previous year.Speaking at a special evening of music and camaraderie held at the Lagos House,Ikeja,to usher in the Yuletide season,Governor Ambode said the taxes paid by the people have been judiciously utilized to upgrade infrastructures and provide various services,just as he said that Lagosians deserved to be appreciated for cooperating with government in that regard.
