 World Court to hear Sudan genocide case against United Arab Emirates The World Court said it would hear a case brought by Sudan demanding emergency measures against the United Arab Emirates and accusing the Gulf state of violating obligations under the Genocide Convention by arming paramilitary forces, Reuters reported. Sudan has accused the UAE of arming the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) which have been fighting the Sudanese army in a two-year-old civil war - a charge the UAE denies but U.N. experts and U.S. lawmakers have found credible. The Sudanese Armed Forces' actions at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) "are nothing more than a political game and publicity stunt - an attempt to drag a longstanding friend of Africa into the conflict they themselves have instigated and fuelled," a UAE official said. A PREGNANT WOMAN IN BRITAIN WAS ATTACKED AND HER MOUTH TORN APART BY HER BEST FRIEND'S DOG.

                                 21 years old Laura Holmes,said she feared she and her unborn baby would die when an American Akita dog,belonging to her best friend Tracie Taylor,attacked her while she sat and sending a text message.The dog jumped on her and tore her face,ripping chunks of flesh from her mouth and cheeks,leaving her with 60 stitches.Her friend tried to drag the dog off her and only succeeded when they repeatedly kicked the dangerous dog,which was later killed.The dog's owner has become the first in Britain to be prosecuted under tough new laws after failing to control the seven stone Akita dog.Miss Holmes,who is from Nottingham,was rushed to Queen's medical centre,where surgeon's battled to save her face and her baby.She gave birth through C-section because doctors felt she may not be able to withstand the pain of a natural birth due to her injuries.Her baby is now 15 weeks old.Her best...

            Governor of Lagos state Raji Fashola has queried the disappearance of 1.447,804million voters from the Lagos voter's list and called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,to explain the disappearance,before the distribution of the Permanent Voters card in Lagos.This came about as the governor declared these friday as holiday for all servants,to enable them collect their Permanent Voters Card.The distribution of the cards kicks off in Lagos on friday and will end on sunday.Fashola said ''I am concerned about the report of 4.8 million voters in Lagos state.INEC owes us explanation.During the last election,the voters list in Lagos was 6,247,845 voters.We want to know how 1,447,804 million voters disappeared from the voters list.I am worried whether this is the beginning of a plan to disenfranchise Lagosian's to vote.Our government will stand for all eligible voters to have their names in the register unless INEC could prove why thei...
