                                         Today friday it was reported that an Appeal Court has nullified the entire governorship election held in Akwa Ibom state on 11 April,purportedly won by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,Governor Udom Emmanuel.The decision was handed over this afternoon in the cross appeal filed by the candidate of the APC,Umana Okon Umana and the appeal by Emmanuel.The court ordered for a fresh election in 90 days.The Governorship election tribunal had initially cancelled the election in 18 of the councils in the state and called for a re-run but the APC felt dissatisfied and filed an appeal,praying for the cancellation of the entire poll.One more photo below.                                                       ...

                      Yesterday thursday on National TV,Niger President announced that his government has foiled an attempted coup and arrested people who planned to use aerial firepower to seize control.Issoufou in his address called the coup attempt high treason and said the situation was under control and all the main actors had been arrested,except one person who had fled.''The government has just foiled an evil attempt at detribalization.The objective of these individuals,motivated by i don't know what,was to overthrow the democratically elected power.They envisaged using aerial firepower and they have for some weeks deliberately blocked {those military assets} in Niamey that i was pressing them to send to Diffa to the front for the struggle against Boko Haram''.One more photo below.                                          ...

                   The picture above are some of the people arrested by the Lagos State Governor's convoy on wednesday at Ijora,when they were driving against traffic.Now today friday the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Court sitting in Ogba convicted six traffic offenders arrested by the convoy of the State Governor,Akinwunmi Ambode in Ijor-Olopa area of the state on wednesday 16 December 2015,while driving against traffic.Those arrested and convicted include Mrs Adejoke Elemoro,Mr Ogunlana Olatunji,Mr Ganiyu Ayokuleyin,Mr Ogunade Segun,Mr Akinlabi Ahmed and Mr Sunday Uzebor.The trial Magistrate Mobolaji Tanimola of court 16 in Ogba,convicted the motoristsafter they pleaded guilty to a one count charge bordering on the offence filed against them by the government.The Magistrate Specifically ordered the traffic offenders to forfeit their vehicles which included four cars,one motorcycle and a tricycle to the government.The ...
