 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre. Hailey Bieber  revealing she was hospitalized earlier this week after suffering "a very small blood clot" to her brain. The good news is, she's now home recovering. The 25-year-old model took to her Instagram Story on Saturday and said the scary episode unfolded Thursday morning while sitting at breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber  "I started having stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital," she said in her post. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours." She thanked everyone for their concern and those who sent well wishes.   "Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through, I'm home now and doing well, and I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!" she added. YOUNG BOY GETS PUNISHED FOR TELLING HIS MOM "YOU GET MIND COLLECT PHONE FROM CULTIST" A young boy in secondary school has been punished by his mother at home for using a slangs and making a statement that he may/may not know the full meaning of what it means. A twitter user @GwazaVictoria, who is assumed to be an aunt or elder sister narrated the thing on twitter last night saying that the boy was punished so he won’t make such statement again. Posting on twitter, @GwazaVictoria said that the little brother was caught using his mother’s phone to access the internet. BENUE: RESIDENTS GROAN AS WATER SCARCITY PERSISTS IN GUMA LGA A worrisome facebook post reads " WHO CAN HELP THEM" I came for a burial of a dear friend around daudu , the Uigbiam Guma road. On our way I saw women and children gathered as you can see in the picture, I stopped to enquire and learnt they are here as from 3:00 am on a daily basis to get water from these pounds. This is Gyemo Mbawa, Guma Local government Area of Benue State. The same road is used by Gov. Ortom, his chief of staff, Hon. John Tondo, Avine Agbum to access their villages in Guma LGA. The family of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Saturday, opened up on the leadership of the group. Kingsley Kanunta Kanu, Kanu’s brother, said his sibling is “the only leader” of IPOB. Reports had it that Kanu was removed as the Director of IPOB and replaced with Sofia Chinyere Kalu. Mrs Kalu is said to be the group’s Financial Secretary in the UK. FG Shuts Illegal Online Banks, Loan Apps, Freezes Business Accounts The Federal Competition Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) in conjunction with the Independent Corruptb Practices Commision(ICPC) and the National Information Technology Development Agency(NITAD) have raided some loan application platforms over consumer rights abuse. Some of the raided companies included; GoCash, Okash, EasyCredit, Kashkash, Speedy Choice and Easy Moni. Leading the raid on some loan application firms in Lagos today, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FCCPC, Mr. Babatunde Irukera said the growing number of consumer complaints on the activities of loan application platforms in relation to privacy infringement and high interest rates informed FCCPC’s decision to carry out the raid. Two teenage sisters identified as Nuratu, 16 and Khadija, 11 were killed after they were hit by stray bullets. It was gathered that the bullets were fired by soldiers at a market in Kidandan district, a community under Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna The soldiers were driving through the market when they sighted some strange men sitting on motorcycles and challenged them, an eyewitness said, adding that the villagers took to their heels when they started hearing gunshots allegedly fired by the soldiers at the men. In the ensuing melee, the two sisters were hit by stray bullets as they also tried to run away from the scene.
