Kirstie Alley — who made a name for herself on both television and film — has died after a private battle with cancer at age 71. Her family announced Monday, "We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered.”  Kirstie was "surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead," her children wrote. "As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother."  After thanking the staff at Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida for their care, True and Lillie reflected on Kirstie's legacy.  "Our mother's zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating," they said, "were unparalleled and leave us inspiring to live life to the fullest just as she did.".

Nigerian Air Force Jets kill 7 Zamfara Wanted Terrorists In Kaduna Nigerian military fighter jets have eliminated seven wanted Zamfara terrorists’ kingpins, PRNigeria reports. St Edward’s Crown, the historic centrepiece of the Crown Jewels, has been removed from the Tower of London to allow for modification work to begin ahead of the Coronation on Saturday 6th May 2023.  As per tradition, The King will be crowned with St Edward's Crown during the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey. The King will also wear the Imperial State Crown during the Service.  St Edward's Crown is the crown historically used at the moment of Coronation, and was worn by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at her Coronation in 1953. It was made for Charles II in 1661, as a replacement for the medieval crown which had been melted down in 1649. The original was thought to date back to the eleventh-century royal saint, Edward the Confessor – the last Anglo-Saxon king of England. More photos below. 

Family release obituary of veteran gospel singer, Sammie Okposo  According to the obituary, the singer will be buried on December 15. The singer died in his sleep on November 25. He was 51 years old. May his soul rest on peace, Amen.  

ABUJA MAN ELECTROCUTED WHILE STEALING HIGH-TENSION WIRE A middle-aged man, identified simply as Ezekiel, was electrocuted while trying to steal a high-tension wire in the Utako area of the Federal Capital Territory. The incident occurred on Saturday night. A commercial driver, who asked to be identified only as Hassan, told our correspondent on Sunday that Ezekiel sustained severe burns from the incident. He said, This early morning, a man known as Ezekiel, was electrocuted. He wanted to steal a wire from the high tension belonging to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and in the process of doing that he was electrocuted. We heard the sound of an electrical spark in the night and also heard the scream of the man. If not for the fact that saw, plier, and torchlight scattered on the ground, I would have thought that he wanted to commit suicide. But with those tools, he went there for a mission.
