LAGOS STATE GOVT IS SET TO PROSECUTE 210 ARRESTED MISCREANTS FROM OSHODI.{READ}.

                  Lagos State Government is set to prosecute 210 miscreants and hoodlums arrested by the operatives of the Lagos State Task Force during a recent operation carried out in Oshodi. The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force,SP Olayinka Egbeyemi,who made the disclosure,said the raid was carried out by the Agency on the directive of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode through the State Commissioner of Police,Mr Fatai Owoseni.According to him,the alleged miscreants,hoodlums and ex-convicts were arrested along railway lines,markets and under the bridge at Oshodi between midnight and 5am on friday. While commending the present administration for its efforts at re-developing Oshodi and other parts of the State to a Mega-City status,he enjoined members of the public to always inform security outfits of any criminal activities within their area. He noted that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Mr. Fatai Owoseni has since directed that the arrested miscreants and hoodlums be charged

EFCC STATEMENT: NO GOVERNOR INDICTED OVER PARIS CLUB LOAN REIMBURSEMENT.

                 The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC has been drawn to a report captioned,Nigerian State Governors,Senate President Saraki Pocketed Billions of Naira from Paris Loan Refund,which appeared in the online news portal,Sahara Reporters on Sunday February 12,2017. The report among others claimed that the Commission has indicted all the governors of the 36 states of the Federation and the Senate President,Bukola Saraki in the ongoing investigation of the reimbursement paid to state governments by the Federal Government for excessive deduction charged to them on account of the Paris Club and other international loans. The Commission wishes to state unequivocally,that no state governor or Senate President has been indicated so far by the investigation which is still at a preliminary stage.Also,insinuations about cover up by some officials of the Commission are untrue as there is no incentive to do so.
