EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

SECURITY: GOV. MAKINDE OF OYO STATE MEETS HIS KWARA STATE COUNTERPART,AABDULRAZAQ.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  This afternoon, we held a joint security meeting with His Excellency @RealAARahman, Gov of Kwara State, heads of security agencies and traditional rulers from both Oyo and Kwara states. We commended the security agencies for their efforts so far and encouraged them to do more. We agreed to set up a working team in the next few days for both Oyo and Kwara states to address security issues including the displacement of some residents of Igangan to Kwara State. We resolved that the traditional rulers in both states would be involved in our intelligence gathering efforts by disclosing information to the security agencies to enable us stay on top of the security situation. We also agreed that the National Livestock Transformation Plan which is already being implemented in Kwara State would be implemented in Oyo State leading to further collaborations between both states on economy and security. -Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state More photos below.

This is according to the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma as he received Delegation of National Assembly committee members on Petroleum Industry Bill PIB. In his address, the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma expressed worries over the dichotomies, double standards and frauds existent only in the Nigerian oil industry which he stated should acts as catalysts for the National Assembly to look into the operations and management of the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria.   The acrimonious relationship between the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom and Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has been amicably resolved. KEBBI STATE | Tuesday, March 2, 2021 Governor of Ekiti State and NGF Chairman, Dr. Kayode Fayemi attended the 5th Year Anniversary of the Rice Anchor Borrower Programme, National Rice Festival, and the Flag Off of 2020/2021 dry season farming organized by Kebbi State Government. The Anchor Borrower Programme is one of the five agricultural development initiatives rolled out by the Federal Government to redirect focus from oil to agriculture and address the country’s dependence on food imports.
