PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES . (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. INEC SEIZED 7 PVCs FROM UNDER-AGED VOTERS TODAY AT THE PLATEAU'S BYE-ELECTION.

                                       Today saturday,Prof.Anthonia Simbini INEC {Independent National Electoral Commission},National Commissioner,North Central,made the disclosure to pressmen in Kwa,Qua'an Pan today saturday,said ''We discovered in some polling units three major problems during the accreditation in this bye-election,under-aged,fake party agents cards and low turn out of voters.We have seen with our eyes and seized seven PVCs from the under aged and five fake party agent cards in some few polling units visited.The children should not take the law into their hands but should wait until they reach the age of 18''.The commissioner expressed happiness with the presiding officers,who she said had turned away most of the under aged voters that came for accreditation.One more photo below.

APC,DROPS AUDU'S SON FOR YAHAYA BELLO YESTERDAY,TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE KOGI GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS.

                                                                    Mohammed Audu,the son of the Late Prince Abubakar Audu,was dumped by the All Progreesives Congress {APC} because the the party felt that choosing him might vitiate the entire governorship poll in the state.After extensive consultations,the APC submitted the name of Yahaya Bello as the Party's new candidate for Kogi governorship supplementary poll.But the people of Kogi west were mounting pressure on Hon.James Abiodun Faleke yesterday friday not to accept the nomination of Bello.Although they asked Faleke to withdraw from the race,the deputy governorship candidate was yet to make up his mind on the next step.But sources gather that APC has retained Faleke as the party's deputy governorship candidate.One more photo below.                                                 

22 PEOPLE DROWNED IN BURKINA FASO ON THURSDAY,IN A BUS ACCIDENT.

                    On thursday,22 people drowned in a dam in Burkina Faso after a bus they were travelling in,veered of the road and plunged into a dam in Kiebalgo region of the country.Eight other people were injured in the accident.The government said in statement that ''A total of 22 people were drowned in thursday's accident when a minibus fell into a dam in Kiebalogo,on national route 27.Investigation are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident''.Though sources claimed that road accidents are frequent occurrences in Burkina Faso with the poor state of roads and vehicles often to blame.Kibalogo is located 45 kilometres from Burkina Faso's second city of Bobo Dioulasso..                                                                                                              

A SUCCESSFUL ACCOUNTANT FROM BRAZIL,WAS BORN WITH HIS HEAD UPSIDE DOWN.

                The man is identified as 37 year old Claudio Vieira de Oliveira from Brazil,and he was born with several disabilities including an upside down head and limited use of his arms and legs,but he is an inspirational public speaker.As a new born,doctors told his mother to stop feeding him because he would not be able to survive.His mother Maria Jose said ''People started saying,the baby is going to die because he could barely breath when he was born''.Instead his family made adjustments to their home so that he could maneuver around without getting hurt.Claudio began walking on his knees at the age of 8,and despite not being able to use a wheelchair because of his shape,he begged his mother to attend school with other children.Claudio uses a pen held in his mouth to type,and he learned to use phones and a computer mouse that enabled him to succeed in school.He attended State University of Feira de Santana and his now also an account in addition to being a pub

SAMSON SIASIA'S MOTHER,FREED TODAY BY THE POLICE IN BAYELSA STATE,FROM HER KIDNAPPERS.

                   72 year old Mrs Beauty Siasia,the mother of Samson Siasaia who was kidnapped early this month was released today.According ASP Asinmi Butswat,police spokesman in Bayelsa said the kidnappers freed the victim following a clampdown on their location by men of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of police in the state.He said that the victim,72,who was abducted on November 16,was dropped off at about 1:30am today saturday.''She is hale and hearty and has been reunited with her family and the police have intensified efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects''.Samson Siasia is the coach for the Nigerian Under-23 National Team.
