 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. The incident was said to have taken place somewhere within Ogun State about two days ago. Such unruly and violent behaviour is not only barbaric but unbecoming of somebody who is supposed to be a role model for the youths and should not be tolerated.” The police insist that if Portable’s unruly behaviour is not checked, the same act will send wrong signals to the youths. Abdulsalam Abubakar Flown Abroad Over Serious Health Complications  Former military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.) has reportedly flown abroad over his deteriorating health condition. The retired Army General, according to ThisDay, may have suffered a partial stroke. According to the report, he was taken abroad about three weeks ago for medical treatment. He was first flown to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) but is now at a hospital in the United Kingdom (UK). Abubakar was accompanied by his wife and former First Lady, Justice Fati Abubakar. His in-law and Niger Governor, Abubakar Bello left the country after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary to visit him.

Bulama was the coordinator of former President Goodluck Jonathan's 2015 re-election campaign committee in Yobe State. SOLUDO REMAINS COMMITTED TO A SEAMLESS, TRANSPARENT TEACHERS' RECRUITMENT PROCESS It has become imperative for the Government of Anambra State to set the records straight regarding the voice note in circulation on the social media space. The Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo-led administration is fully determined and committed to a seamless, transparent ongoing recruitment exercise for Anambra teachers. At the end of the last successful examination conducted for the applicants, Governor Soludo graciously approved fifty (50%) percent as the cut-off mark. Over ten thousand applicants got to the cut-off point and above. In line with his directive, another examination was approved for the second phase in the recruitment exercise. Consequently, last Saturday (19th June, 2022) examination was held in three locations which include Nsugbe, Unizik and Nnewi.
