 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                     According to Mr Danladi Kifasi,who disclosed this information in a circula tiltled ''Restrictions on foreign trainings and international travels by public servants'',was issued to all Ministries,Departments and Agencies,MDA's,said it has become imperative to introduce a number of cost,saving measures following the recent development in the international oil market that has affected the revenue stream of Government.The Head of Service outlined some guidelines in the circular to be applied before any public officer shall travel out of the country on Government expense,explaining that''Proposals for participation or attendence of international conferences,seminars,workshops,study hours,training,presentations of papers,negotiating/signing of Memorandum of Understanding {MOU} abroadat Government expense,shall no longer be allowed except those that are fully funded by sponsoring/invitations organizations''.The circular

KANO STATE GOVT,DECLARES FRIDAY A PUBLIC HOLIDAY,TO ENABLE CIVIL SERVANTS COLLECT THEIR PVC's.

                                        Kano state Government,declares tomorrow friday a public holiday,to enable civil servants who have not collected their Permanent Voter's Card {PVC},to do so.This information was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer in the office of the State Head of Service Alhaji Mustapha Fagge,and he issued the information to newsmen in Kano today thursday.The statement states that the public holiday is necessary to enable civil servants use the opportunity to obtain their PVC's at INEC designation centres.One more photo below.
