      ANAMBRA STATE POLICE COMMAND DIARY:      On the 05/2/2020 at about 11:15am,an overhead Tank filled with water fall into a classroom of Royal Kings Foundation nursery and primary school Nkpor-Agu in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State. Police patrol team led by DPO Ogidi Division CSP Mark Ijarafu rushed to the scene. On arrival it was discovered that the overhead tank of about 800 gallons capacity filled with water fell from its high stand from a neighbouring house adjacent to the school on the roof of the pre-nursery class and directly into the classroom.As a result, Four children sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to Idemili hospital Nkpor for medical attention.         Today, The Queen opened Wolferton’s new Pumping Station, 72 years after Her Majesty’s Father, King George VI, opened the original station on 2nd February, 1948. The Station sits within the Sandringham Estate, home to Sandringham House – the private residence of The Queen and The Royal Family. King George opened the pumping station shortly after WWII, to enable the surrounding marshland, which sits below sea level, to be drained, dried out and farmed. It has been 'keeping Nor folk's feet dry' ever since. The Queen toured the new station, which has been rebuilt over the past 18 months to create a more environmentally friendly facility to better protect its local wildlife, including nesting birds on the neighbouring marshes. Her Majesty met a group of long serving staff, all of whom have worked at Wolferton for over 20 years, and viewed the plaque unveiled by King George in 1948.More photos below.

Improving efficiency of the State-owned traffic management agency, Sanwo-Olu said, is central to the efforts being put forward by his Government to diffuse gridlocks on the roads and reduce travel time for commuters. The Governor spoke on Wednesday at the passing-out parade of 1,017 newly recruited LASTMA officers who graduated from Induction Course 10 of the agency. FAKE BEGGAR EXPOSED AFTER TWO GOOD SAMARITANS OFFERED TO FOLLOW HIM TO THE HOSPITAL TO MEET HIS SUPPOSE SICK WIFE.{PHOTOS}.

      A beggar who claimed he needed money to take care of his sick wife was exposed when two Good Samaritans who offered to help followed him to the hospital and discovered that he was lying. The man walked up to two women in a car and told them his wife needed blood urgently. They informed him they didn't have enough cash, then asked him to enter their car so they could follow him to the hospital and take care of the payment. However, when they got to the gate of the hospital, the man refused to take them to his supposed sick wife. He claimed the wife was in the theatre and the doctors wouldn't let them see her. He then added that he didn't want to make them go through the stress of walking "up and down" in the hospital. When the women confronted him and told him he was lying, he told them that they are rich and won't lose anything by giving him some money.More photos below.

     The Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned one Iyonsi Timeyin Timothy before Justice Sherifat Solebo of the Special Offences Court, Ikeja, Lagos, on a two-count charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of $4,500. One of the counts reads: "That you, Iyonsi Timeyin Timothy , sometime in September, 2019, in Lagos, withi n the Ikeja Judicial Division, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of $4,500.00 (Four Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars) from one Julia Zagorski under the false pretense to wit: “romance scam”, which pretence you knew to be false and committed an offence contrary to Sections 1 (1) (a)and 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act No: 14 of 2006.” The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges following which prosecution counsel, K. Following his unguarded utterances full of incitement and threat to peace in Zamfara State, former Governor Abdulazeez Yari was yesterday, arrested and quizzed by the Nigeria Police in Abuja for six hours. An Impeccable source who spoke to our correspondent in Abuja said the former Governor, who looked visibly rattled, was subjected to six hour query over his utterances which were reported by many online media, where he made inciting statements inimical to the peace attained in Zamfara State.
