 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

          Governor Ambode who was spoted in a made in Nigeria cloth at the ongoing First Lagos Micro,Small & Medium Enterprises {MSMEs} Exclusives Fair at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium,Alausa Ikeja on thursday,May 5,2016,was appointed as the Vice President of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council {CWEIC},an interest group established to promote trade and investment by facilitating engagement between Government and the private sector throughout the Commonwealth.Chief Executive Officer of CWEIC,Oliver Everett,who stated this while meeting with a group of Nigerian businessmen at the Lagos House in Alausa,Ikeja said Governor Ambode would be in office alongside Rt.                  According to sources,a man identified as Remi Adelaja has fled their Oshodi residence after he allegedly killed his elder brother,Mayowa Adelaja.The incident occurred at the wee hours of today sunday at No.6,Adelaja street,off Afariogun Oshodi in Lagos.It was gathered that the tragedy forced other residents to flee the compound before the police got to the scene at about 2am.According to sources,the decesed was looking for the torchlight and asked his younger brother but he claimed he knew nothing about it.''Their mother,Mrs Adelaja is a bread seller.The suspect brough his five children to his father's house after he lost his wife and since then,they have been staying together.Although the deceased has been complaining about it.But last night,the deceased was looking for torchlight and asked his younger brother who said he knew noothing about it.The issue later resulted to a quarrel because the two of them have been having problems.The next thinh they start

                                                           As the ongoing clearance and rescue operation gained momentum,troops of 28 Task Force Brigade have successfully cleared enclaves of Boko Haram terrorists along Galtha Baba,Galtha Musa,B ulakurma,Shatimari,Chukruk,Bulangaje,and Disa villages.During the operation,one Boko Haram terrorist was captured alive and 3 motorcycles,bags of grains,their flags and uniforms were recovered.Other items incude suicide bomber's hijab,mobile phone and 1 Dane gun,as well as foodstufs and cooking utensils.The troops also rescued 15 persons that were held hostages by the Boko Haram terrorists in the area.Unfortunately,two armoured fighting vehicles {AFVs} entered an Improvised Explosive Device {IED}.However,the formation did not sustain any human casualty and the damage to the AFVs was minimal.The captured terrorist is being interrogated and would soon betaken to the relevant agencies for prosecution.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Directo
