  *SUSPECTED MURDER CASE, ARREST OF SUSPECT* On the 6/10/2020 at about 3:30am,there was a report of alleged murder of a (Landlord through inheritance) one Nonso Umeadi Oyiboka 'm' aged 35years of Ogidi Ani-Etiti in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State by his tenant one Onyeamachi Mmaju 'm' aged 21years of same address. Following the report, Police operatives attached to Ogidi Division led by the DPO CSP Ekuri Remigius visited the scene and rushed victim who was found in a pool of his blood to Iyi Enu Mission hospital Ogidi for medical attention where he was certified dead by the medical doctor on arrival.Corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy. However,a careful observation on the deceased body revealed stab wound on his back while a blood stained knife allegedly used in perpetrating the act was also recovered as exhibit at the scene.   Onitsha sea port has become functional after it was commissioned yesterday, October 6. Videos and photos from the scene show containers being offloaded. According to presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi: "The Plan is to move containers from Lagos & Onne Ports to Onitsha by barge. For now I believe what’s being done is testing. You need to do a pilot first, assess efficiency, do troubleshooting etc, before you roll out full operations. But if it works as planned it’s gon be a BFD!!" He added: "So someone just pointed out to me that on the Maersk website,Onitsha is now available as a port of final destination. A vessel departing Shanghai Oct 10 (this Sat) has Onitsha listed as terminal port (arrival Dec 2, 2020)."   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 arraigned the trio of Adegoke Johnson Adebayo, Ayodele Elijah Olubunmi Sunday and Adelowo Waheed Adewole, before Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan for N83,500, 000 (Eighty Three Million, Five Hundred Thousand) loan fraud. The suspects, who are staff of Osun State Environmental Protection Commission, and president, secretary and treasurer of the Commission’s staff cooperative society, respectively, allegedly diverted the sum, obtained as loan for the cooperative members. The EFCC preferred a 10-count charge, bordering on conspiracy, abuse of office, stealing, forgery, altering, and obtaining money under false pretence against them.
