 4 Killed, Several Injured As Reckless Driver Rams Into Primary School In Kaduna A devastating incident occurred earlier today at Barnawa Primary School in Kaduna, located near Barnawa market, when a vehicle rammed into the school premises, leaving a trail of death and destruction. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle, driven recklessly, crashed into the school, resulting in the deaths of four individuals.  Several others were injured and are currently receiving medical attention.  Rwanda confirms first cases of Ebola-like Marburg virus Rwanda has confirmed its first cases of Marburg disease, a viral hemorrhagic fever that can cause death, among some patients, the country's health ministry said on Friday, Reuters reported. It said in a statement that it was investigating to determine the origin of infection, and that those infected had been isolated for treatment. The ministry did not give exact numbers but said there were few cases. With a fatality rate of as high as 88%, Marburg is from the same virus family as the one responsible for Ebola and is transmitted to people from fruit bats. It then spreads through contact with bodily fluids of infected people. Symptoms include high fever, severe headache vomiting, muscle aches and stomach aches, the ministry said. Neighbouring Tanzania had cases of Marburg in 2023, while Uganda had similar ones in 2017.

 Eight young Nigerian girls trafficked to Ghana repatriated The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has confirmed the rescue of eight young girls trafficked to Ghana. While receiving the young ladies at the NiDCOM Annex Office in Lagos, Abike Dabiri-Erewa said the rescued girls have been handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, to ensure that they have safe and comfortable accommodations pending their formal rehabilitation and reintegration with their families. The rescued girls, aged between 15 and 22, hail from various states across Nigeria, including Ebonyi, Akwa-Ibom, Imo, Plateau, and Cross River.  Sewage pipe bursts in China, sending fountain of yellow liquid several stories high and shattering car windows On the morning of September 24, in Nanning, Guangxi, a newly installed sewage pipeline suddenly burst during a pressure test at a road construction site on Xiuxiang Avenue in the city's High-Tech Zone.  The accident caused a large amount of yellow sewage to gush out, reaching heights of over 10 metres, equivalent to several stories, affecting the surrounding environment and vehicles passing by.
