 Missing Person Alert! 15-year-old girl goes missing after she was sent to the bank to withdraw money Princess Halimat Tajudeen was last seen at 5:20pm on Wednesday, 24th of April 2024, after her mother sent her to the bank to withdraw money. According to a family member who spoke to LIB, the money was successfully withdrawn as a debit alert was received by her mother at 5:35pm.  However, Halimat didn't return home and hasn't been heard from since then.       Justice Peter Affen of the FCT High Court, sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday October 15, 2019, heard how Aliyu Yakubu, a former Revenue Officer with the Kano State zonal office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), siphoned N20, 000,000 (Twenty Million Naira) belonging to JAMB by replacing sold e-facility cards with cardboard, cut to size. EFCC, is prosecuting Yakubu on an eight-count charge, bordering on criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of funds and money laundering to the tune of N20, 000,000 (Twenty Million Naira).

       The EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office today, Wenesday, October 16, 2019, arraigned the trio of Aminu Umar Gagi, Ibrahim Ahmaed (a.k.a Ibrahim Ibson) and Aliyu Suleiman (a.k.a Pilisco) before Justice Isah Muhammad Bargaja of the Sokoto State High Court on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, bribery and vote buying. . . The defendants were arrested by operatives of the EFCC on February 23, 2019, at Gagi Ward, Nakasarin Magaji Area of So koto Metropolis, during the 2019 Presidential Election. They were arrested with N400, 000.00 (Four Hundred Thousand Naira) only which was allegedly earmarked for bribing INEC Officials at the polling station as well as other key members of the election team. . . The case has been adjourned to October 18, 2019 for hearing of the bail application and November 4, 2019 for trial.One more photo below.

The suspects include Frances Onyeama, Adebayo M. Charles, Melvin A. Jack, Omogoye Wasiu Bolaji, Umoren Harrison Daniel, Oloyede Y. Ademola, Arichibong Aniete James, Richard Essien David, Oke Asaki, Mike Simon.         The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency has announced that there will be a temporary road closure at the Railway Crossing, Yaba from 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, to 1:00 am on Thursday, October 17, 2019, due to the ongoing track laying for the Lagos-Ibadan Rail Project. A statement issued by the Agency today, therefore, advised motorists to make use of the following alternative routes during the closure; those going to Tejusoho Street from Herbert Macaulay Way to pass through Yaba or ply Jibowu - Empire - Moshalasi - Ojuelegba to access Tejuosho. It continued that motorists going to Tejuosho Street from Ikorodu Road should pass through Fadeyi - Dormanlong Bridge - Ojuelegba - Tejuosho; or through Fadeyi - Jibowu - Empire - Moshalasi - Ojuelegba - Tejuosho Street to reach their destinations. NIGERIAN PHONE REPAIRER STABBED TO DEATH IN SOUTH AFRICA OVER A BUSINESS DISAGREEMENT YESTERDAY.{PHOTO}.

     The Nigerian community in South Africa has confirmed the killing of one of its members, 41-year-old, Ikenna Innocent Otugo, in Empangeni, South Africa on Tuesday October 15th. Acting chairman of Nigerian Union, South Africa (NUSA) in the Kwazulu Natal Province, Sylvester Okonkwo, who confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the deceased, a native of Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra, was allegedly stabbed to death by unknown assailants over a business disagreement. According to Okonkwo, Otugo who is a phone repairer, had repaired a cellphone for a client in the area. However the female client wasn't satisfied with the job he did for her and they had an argument. Things degenerated when she organized some men to attack Otugo who was stabbed in the process. He died while he was being rushed to the hospital. Okonkwo says the body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue and an autopsy is expected to be carried out on him. Otugo i
