     The Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration took place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace yesterday His Royal Highness and The Duchess of Cornwall were joined by 6,500 people from 386 of HRH's patronages and all 18 of His Royal Highness's military affiliations were represented. There were also 306 gue sts, drawn from the Police, Fire and Ambulance, Mountain Rescue, and RNLI. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also attended The Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration today, their first engagement as a married couple. The Duke of Sussex made a speech at the event, where he praised the work of The Prince of Wales over nearly 50 years.  .        Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, sitting in Maitama, Abuja has ordered that the trial of Olisa Metuh, former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would henceforth continue in his absence. The judge gave the order on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 while ruling on an application by Silvanus Tahir, counsel to  the EFCC, urging the court to continue with the trial in the absence of the embattled erstwhile spokesperson who collapsed in court on Monday while making his way to the dock.Tahir, in his application argued that Metuh had acted in defiance to the judge's order to remain where he was seated while the proceedings went on.He also argued that the defendant had in the past employed all manners of delay tactics to frustrate his trial.On the other hand, Metuh's counsel, Emeka Etiaba, SAN, wanted a long adjournment to enable his client to recover to continue his trial adding that "prosecution is only for the living".In hi...

       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission will tomorrow May 24 arraign Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, former PDP governorship candidate in the last governorship election in Edo State; Lucky Imasuen, former deputy governor of Edo State; Chief Dan Orbih, Edo State PDP chairman; Tony Azigbemi and Efe Erimuoghae Anthony before a Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State.     T he tiny eight-year-old reptile ranger who spends his days cuddling up to alligators and giant snakes is identified as    Daredevil youngster, Charlie Parker, who has helped his parents care for the animals at Ballarat Wildlife Park in Victoria, Australia, since the moment he was able to walk.  Charlie, who has his very own pint-sized ranger uniform, held his first snake when he was one and tackled his very first crocodile just two years later.  And now, in and around his time at school, Charlie interacts with the animals more than ever and has big dreams of becoming a professional zookeeper like his idol, Steve Irwin.             Almost everybody associate fire with the colour red,but 80% of the cooking fire is actually blue,mixed with golden yellow or just gold-yellow.On sunday was Pentecost Sunday for all Catholics and most people who knew I like conforming to dress code was wondering why I didn't wear a red outfit or a touch of red.Anyone who cared to ask me was convinced at the end that red is not only the colour that can be used in representing fire.I wore an Indian blue blouse with a lot of gold design in front of it to look like the colour of fire am used to.I wore a long gold skirt with a short slit in front of my right leg.I wore gold Indian necklace set,gold stud wedge heels and gold purse to match.I believe this article will make you see that red,gold and blue can also be used to represent fire not just red alone.More photos below.    

      It was an emotional laden moment filled with joy, excitement and sense of fulfillment when Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi   on Wednesday  granted scholarship and N5million cash reward to the overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU), Ogunsanya Fuhad Adetoro. Adetoro, who is of the Faculty of Management Sciences, was announced as the best graduating student at the 22nd convocation ceremony held at the Auditorium Complex of the University in Ojo having scored CGPA 4.78.       Following the achievement of its target of 5.5 million pupils being fed free daily under the programme in 2017, the Buhari administration’s National Home-grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) now feeds 8,260,984 pupils in 45,394 public primary schools across 24 states. The 24 states currently benefitting from the school feeding programme are Anambra, Enugu, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ebonyi, Zamfara, Delta, Abia, Benue, Plateau, Bauchi, Taraba, Kaduna, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Niger, Kano, Katsina, Gombe, Ondo and Borno. Similarly, over 80,000 direct jobs have since been created from the School Feeding Programme; with 87,261 cooks currently engaged in the 24 participating states.
