 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

Anambra Task Force Defies Charms, Coffins, Demolishes Property As the Anambra State Task Force on Demolition of Illegal Structures continues its ongoing exercise in the Onitsha metropolis despite the Monday sit-at-home, not even the presence of two huge coffins and various charms allegedly attached to a piece of land could scare them from carrying out their duties, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports. Kuje jailbreak: NDLEA arrests wanted terror suspect with drug in Abuja Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested one of the wanted terror suspects who escaped from the Medium Security Correctional Centre, Kuje, following an attack on the facility by insurgents last week in Abuja. The fleeing terror suspect, Suleiman Sidi, was arrested in the early hours of Monday 11th July at Area 1 motorpark, in the Federal Capital Territory while attempting to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno state. When he was searched, three wraps of cannabis sativa were found on him. A Young Nigerian girl Supports Peter Obi Campaign Financially  A young girl, Covenant Onyebuchi few minutes ago gifted Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi a token she saved up as a support for his Election. Mr Peter Obi who was in Enugu for a live interview on Urban Radio was greeted by the young girl who stated passionately that she was saving up the money with the hope of donating it as her 'widow's mite' in anticipation of his successful election in 2023 Presidential Election. Late Osinachi’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu, Escapes From Kuje Prison   Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi, has managed to escape from the Kuje Prison in Abuja. Peter Nwachukwu, was one of the inmates who escaped during last Tuesday’s terrorists’ attack on the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja by the Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP). “During our roll call yesterday, we discovered that the husband of the late gospel singer was missing,” a senior prison official told SaharaReporters. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Wuse had on June 3 remanded Nwachukwu at the Kuje Correctional Facility, pending the hearing and determination of the homicide-related suit instituted against him by the Attorney General of the Federation.
