37-year-old Sarah Scheffer of Jefferson City, Missouri has been arrested for attempted murder and armed criminal action.  These charges come after her husband became suspicious after recent unexplained illnesses. According to her husband he had suffered through 8 separate occurrences of becoming ill after being provided food or beverage by his wife, Sarah. He explains that after consuming what had been provided, he experienced confusion, nausea, fatigue and many other symptoms.  After confronting his wife (Sarah works for Calvary Lutheran High) on January 1st, when given a bitter beverage, she alleged she had urinated in it, before going on to deny having done anything at all.  This is when her husband decided he needed to catch her in the act if she was in fact poisoning him. Local Government Elections Conducted Peacefully In Borno. The Local Government Elections in Borno has been conducted Peacefully amidst low turnout of voters.  Newsmen in Maiduguri who went round several polling units in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council and Jere observed that voting commenced in the morning at Lawan Asheikh 003 and Zannah Kazalma polling units in Shehuri South ward of the metropolis.  However, there was large turn out of voters in Dalori, Wanori and Konduga town in Konduga local government.  Security personnel were deployed to strategic locations to ensure a hitch-free poll. I Only Get N577k Monthly Pension From Lagos – Fashola Former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has disclosed that the only financial benefit he receives from the government is N577,000 monthly pension as a former governor of Lagos State. He also said that he is not receiving billions of naira from the federal government as speculated by some Nigerians, after serving eight years as the minister. Abuja: Army estate kidnappers demand N30 million ransom Aransom of N30 million has been requested for the release of Barrister Cyril Adikwu’s wife and his two in-laws, who were abducted from the Army estate in Kurudu. Stop telling lies – Tems, American producer ATL Jacob fight dirty Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, and American record producer, ATL Jacob, are at war on social media. The drama started after ATL Jacob claimed in a recent podcast that Tems was initially adamant about clearing her sample on Future’s ‘Wait For U’ which featured her and Drake. ATL Jacob, who produced the song, stated that Future had to talk to Drake to use his relationship with Tems to get her to approve the sample. His claim earned backlash on social media with Tems and her manager also refuting it. French farmers threaten to intensify protests as anger mounts France’s largest farm union FNSEA is considering nationwide protests in the coming weeks, a spokesperson said on Friday, potentially expanding action by farmers in the southwest who have blocked a highway and dumped manure on public buildings. Like their German counterparts who held a massive demonstration over the weekend with tractors rumbling towards Berlin from every corner of the country, French farmers are mainly protesting against taxes and regulation. The FSNEA will decide whether to organise nationwide action next Thursday after meeting local branch representatives and different farm sectors, the spokesperson said. Hundreds of tractors and farmers from across southwest France have been protesting in the southwestern city of Toulouse this week, causing traffic jams.

Bandits k!ll school principal, kidnap his wife and baby in Kaduna Bandits have k!lled a school principal, Idris Abu Sufyan, and kidnapped his wife and baby in Kuriga community, Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State. It was gathered that the bandits invaded Sufyan's house on Thursday night, January 18, 2024, shot him d£ad before whisking his wife and son away to an unknown destination.  Until his death, Sufyan was the principal of Government Secondary School (GSS) Kuriga.
