  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. POLICE COMMISSIONER,SUMMONED THE PRINCIPAL OF QUEENS COLLEGE & THE TEACHER ACCUSED OD SEXUAL HARASSMENT.

                         Lagos State Commissioner of Police,Mr Fatai Owoseni,has summoned the principal Mr Lami Amodu and a Biology teacher Olaseni Oshifala of Queen's College Yaba Lagos,over the alleged sexual assault involving a female student.The police yesterday drilled the both of them for several hoursbefore they were admitted on bail.The Biology teacher was accused by a parent,Chinenye Okoye,of forcefully trying to kiss and touch the private parts of her daughter,a JSS 2 student in the school premises.Okoye alleged that she reported the incident but the school's management refused to take action but rather suppressed the incident,which made her expose it on social media.The Commissioner of Police who confirmed the development said following the report,he ordered his officers to summon Amodu and Oshifala to the headquarters for interrogation on Monday which lasted for several hours.He said the police allowed them to go but told them it was not the end of the matter.Owosen

                     The Nigerian Police Force kicked off their  1 1 th Biennial Police Games and the 20 1 6 Police week that started on the  1 9th of March 20 1 6 at the National Stadium,Abuja.The opening ceremony was very colourful in which traditional dancers performed and their was a very impressive police march past.The game is still on going and have pictures from the event.More photos below.                    

THE JUDGE IN SARAKI'S CASE REFUSED TO GIVE JUDGEMENT,AFTER HE WAS ACCUSED BY 2 ONLINE MEDIA.

                 According to sources,Justice Addul Kafarayi of the Federal High Court,Abuja today tuesday withheld his scheduled judgement in a fundamental rights enforcement suit by Senate President,Bukola Saraki.On March  1st ,Justice Kafarati fixed judgement for yesterday after entertaining arguments from parties,who also adopted their final written addresses.At the resumption of court's businesses at 9am yesterday,the court's registrar informed lawyers in the case,including Saraki's supporters,who arrived the court early,that the judgement has been fixed for  1 pm.They all waited patiently,but when the judge arrived a little over  1 pm,he stunned all when he announced his decision not to deliver judgement,but to withdraw from the case.He hinged his decision on some reports by on-line media,including Sahara Reporters and Naij.com,which he said portrayed him in bad light.He said by the impression created in the reports,suggesting that he had been compromised,it would be

THE NIGERIAN POLICE,ARRESTED THE MASTERMIND OF MOST OF THE KIDNAP & SEA PIRACY IN CROSS-RIVER,YESTERDAY.

                Yesterday monday,the 2 1 st of March 20 1 6 at around  1 0am,based on information,a team of Policemen arrested one Saviour Okon Akpan,also known as Israel,alias Akpako who had been fingered as the mastermind of the most of the kidnap and sea piracy cases in Cross-River and Akwa-Ibom States.He was also accused of robbing and seizing many outboard engine boats from fishermen in the area.Some victims have already come forward to identify and recount their ordeal at the hand of the suspects.Investigation is still in progress.One more photo below.                                                     

1 PERSON DIED,AFTER GUNMEN ATTACKED EUROPEAN UNION HEADQUARTERS,YESTERDAY IN MALI.

                          Yesterday monday,some gunmen attacked a hotel in Mali's capital,Bamako that had been converted into the headquarters of a European Union military training operation,but there no casualties among the mission's personnel.There was no immediate claim of responsibility ffor the attack,which began at around 6:30 pm local time,but Mali and neighboring West African countries have increasingly been the target of Islamist militants,some of them affiliated with al-Qaeda.One of the assailants was killed and two suspects were arrested and were being interrogated,the country's internal security minister said.A witness said the attack targeted Bamako's Nord-Sud Hotel,headquarters for the mission of nearly 600 EU personnel deployed to Mali to train its security forces.''The attackers tried to force through the entry and the guards posted in front of the entrance opened fire.One attackers was killed''.One more photo below.                      

THE NIGERIAN ARMY,IS BUSY CLEARING THE REMNANTS OF BOKO HARAM IN ABOUT 9 AREAS TODAY.

                        The 29 Task Force Brigade troops have also been busy conducting clearing operations on the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in their area of operations with remarkable success.Within the last two days the units under the Brigade cleared the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hibernating in the following areas:Abukarti,Baradili,Bogozo,Gaijaribul Abukar,Kolomi,Marguba,Umarumi and Yasori  1  and 2.The gallant troops also recovered several items including  1  single barrel gun,motorcycles,drums and bags of millet and dead cattle that ran into Improvised Explosive Device {IED} buried by the Boko Haram terrorists.Similarly,the troops detonated an IED in one of the building at Yasori  1 .It was equally discovered that prior to the clearance,the terrorists have also been frequently Borgozo general area which they used as harbour and staging area when conducting their nefarious activities.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director,Army Public Relations.More Photos bel
