 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

FRSC REDEPLOYS SENIOR OFFICERS FOLLOWING RECENT PROMOTION.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The woman who was interrogated by some residents of the area where the incident occurred, admitted she is married but added that she regrets hooking up with the man. The middle-aged woman further disclosed that she lives around Mutatiri in Cele, Lagos. She recalled telling her child she was going to "buy something" before leaving her house as she blamed herself continously. The elderly man was subsequently rushed to the hospital on a bike.

      Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission NHRC, Tony Ojukwu, has said that the final student of the Lagos State University LASU, Adeyeye Babatunde, seen in a viral video inappropriately kissing his baby sister, will be made to face the law... The viral video which surfaced online a few days ago, irked many Nigerians as they called for his arrest. Taking to his Twitter handle, the NHRC boss said despite Babatunde's apology, he will be made to face the law as  he has committed a crime against a minor. he tweeted ''His name is Babatunde Adeyeye.      Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce), in an over-night enforcement exercise removed some illegal structures comprising of shanties, mechanic workshops, containerised kiosks and commercial bus garages around Government Public Schools at Mile 2, Badagry Expressway, Lagos. Chairman of the Agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who led the enforcement team, disclosed that before the removal e xercise, owners and occupants of these illegal structures, containerised kiosks and bus garage were served a seven-day 'Removal Notice' to vacate the entire area, as well as the vicinity of the schools, within the stipulated period. CSP Egbeyemi stated further that the removal exercise was a sequel to numerous complaints and petitions by residents, particularly management of the Public Schools (Imoye High School and Amuwo Odofin Junior Secondary School) that criminal elements have turned the area into hideouts for carrying out their nefarious act

      Today being Friday 5/6/2020 at about 8:30am a Prado Jeep with Registration No.UWN 227 PE driven by one Tochukwu Onyejekwe 'm' aged 26 years of New auto spare parts Nkpor loss control of his car while driving along Enugu/Onitsha Expressway by old defunct NITEL Onitsha.As a result,the jeep knocked down the driver of a shuttle bus with registration number AWK 279  XJ one Osita Ekpere 'm' and hit three other shuttle busses before crashing into the drainage. Police operatives attached to CPS Onitsha quickly mobilised to the scene and rushed the victim to Toronto hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor on duty. L Abubakar of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on two count-charges bordering on obtaining money by false pretences to the tune of N100 million. . .
