The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. EFCC OPERATIVES ARREST 22 SUSPECTED CYBERCRIME IN ABUJA.(PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE.

EFCC Operatives Arrest 22 Suspected Cybercriminals in Abuja Operatives of the EFCC Abuja Zonal Command on Thursday, March 3, 2022, arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation. They were fished out from their hideouts in the Kubwa and Kurudu suburbs of Abuja, following credible intelligence on their alleged criminal activities. The suspects comprising one female and twenty one males, are within the age range, 17 and 28 years. The intelligence links them to various forms of cybercrimes including love scam, business email compromise, job scam, visa scam and lottery scam. Upon their arrest, 10 cars were seized from the suspects comprising 2 Lexus SUV’s, 2 Lexus Sedan, 3 Mercedes Benz C Class, 1 Toyota Corolla, 1 Toyota Camry and 1 Honda Accord. Woman Bags 10 Years Jail Term for Fraud in Lagos The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on March 4, 2022, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Aishatu Arowojobe before Justice Mojisola Dada of a Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on an amended two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. Arowojobe was first arraigned on January 15, 2019 on a one-count charge to which she pleaded "not guilty". Arowojobe, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of N7,065,000 (Seven Million and Sixty-five Thousand Naira) from one Tim Onyeator by falsely representing to him that it was the cost of 'garri' business and purchase of plots of land for cassava plants, which pretence she knew to be false. The charge was afterwards amended to two counts and she still pleaded "not guilty". Visit our website:

Don't Impose More Sanctions, We Have No ill Intentions - Putin President Putin has warned those opposing Russia's actions in Ukraine "not to exacerbate the situation" by imposing more restrictions on his country. The Russian president was speaking at a government meeting broadcast on the state-controlled Rossiya 24 news channel. "We have no ill intentions against our neighbours," Putin claims. And he says his government sees "no need" for its neighbours to take further action that will "make our relations worse". "I think everyone must think about how to normalise relations, co-operate normally and develop relations normally," he adds.

FRSC OFFICIAL AND A TRAFFIC OFFENDER,CRUSHED TO DEATH IN ONDO.(PHOTO).

  An Official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) was crushed to death by a vehicle while on official duty at Ajebandele area in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. The FRSC official identified as Abdulkareem Ojonla Jimoh was said to be attending to a suspected traffic offender when the incident happened before the military checkpoint on the inward Benin section of the expressway. The Commander, Sagamu-Benin Corridor, Lasisi Ogundele, who confirmed the incident, explained that the deceased was crushed to death when the driver of a Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number, NEM-618AA lost control of the vehicle. He said the driver of the vehicle also hit the suspected traffic offender being attended to by the road safety official, adding that the two victims died on their way to the hospital.
