 Obosi Development Union Backs Dialect Quiz to Preserve Local Language ‎ ‎  ‎By Chiedu Uche Okoye ‎ ‎The President General of the Obosi Development Union (ODU), Barrister  Chimezie Obi, has expressed his support for the upcoming Obosi dialect quiz competition, aimed at preserving the Obosi dialect of the Igbo language from extinction.  ‎ ‎The event, initiated by Pharm. Obi Egbuonye's "Revive Obosi Dialect Project", is scheduled to take place at the Obosi town hall on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026. ‎ ‎According to Barr. Obi, the competition will promote the Obosi dialect and contribute to the preservation of the Igbo language. "It will bring together Obosi people who are proficient in the Obosi dialect, enabling younger generations to learn and appreciate their local language," he stated. ‎ ‎Nze Isaac Ejindu, leader of the Uruowulu village team, praised the organizers, including Pharm.                According to sources,44 year old Jennifer Lopez on Sunday dropped out of performing at the FIFA world cup opening ceremony in Brazil.The backlash she received for dropping out of the performance was intense and she decided to perform.She dropped off the performance because she was haggling over money with the world cup organizers and wanted her entire entourage flown instyle to Brazil.Sources said the big issue is that ''She had wanted them to cover everything for her,from private transportation,to her hotel and the costs associated for her entire entourage''.More photos below.

A MUSLIM PREACHER,SHOT DEAD IN KENYA.

          According to sources,a muslim preacher who condemned radical interpretations of Islam was shot dead near a mosque on Kenya's coast today.Mombasa county commissioner Nelson Marwa said ''Sheikh Mohammed Idris,chairman of the council of Imams and preacher of Kenya {CIPK} was killed by assailant at a mosque south of Mombasa as he went to morning prayers.He died on his way to the hospital.Right now we cannot tell who is behind the killing but we have mounted investigations''.
