 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. 160 NIGERIANS EVACUATED FROM USA ARRIVE IN ABUJA.[PHOTO].

      The first batch of Nigerians stranded in the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic has arrived in Abuja . 160 Nigerians , including eight infants, made the first batch of evacuees. They arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja , around 11. 05 am on Sunday. They returned aboard an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787 aircraft under the special flight arrangements by the Federal Government for nationals strande d abroad. “ ET Flight 8509 conveying 160 Nigerian evacuees from the US has safely arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport , Abuja , ” Minister of Foreign Affairs , Geoffrey Onyeama, said while confirming their arrival . The plane departed the Newark International Airport, New Jersey, on Saturday around 8 :20 p. m . local time (1: 20 a .m . in Nigeria on Sunday). Onyeama added that on arrival , the evacuees would be quarantined for 14 days in Abuja before leaving for their respective destinations in the country .

       Ogun COVID-19 Update #6: 35 Total Discharged, Total Active Now 76 including 2 New Cases On Saturday, 9th May, 2020, Ogun State discharged 5 COVID-19 patients out of the earlier recorded 113 total confirmed cases in the State. The patients have since joined their families after they all tested negative to the virus twice, bringing the total number of discharged cases in the State to 35. The NCDC on the same day, Saturday announced 2 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the State. This brings to total, 115 confirmed cases. There are currently 76 active cases under observation and treatment in the Isolation Centres in the State. Contact of the 2 new confirmed patients are currently being traced.      Governor, Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on Sunday April 10, supervised the demolition of two hotels in the state for violating the order of the state government for hotels to remain shut as part of measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the state.... Recall that last week, the Governor, while placing the capital city, comprising Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpo local government areas on curfew, vowed to pull down hotels operating during the lockdown and buildings opened for  business. As trailer carrying hero beer fell down in Ekwulobia roundabout earlier yesterday, the Ekwulobia people were seen drinking from the beer that was scattered all over the place. According to Peace Okeke-Amadi, she waited for 5 years to get pregnant after the birth of her first child but the new pregnancy took a different turn.
