Three Chinese nationals and two Mozambicans are among fourteen kidnappers that have been arrested by the South African Police Service (SAPS) anti-kidnapping task team in Gauteng.  The fourteen are alleged to have kidnapped a Zimbabwean businessman on Sunday near his workplace.  By Monday afternoon, the anti-kidnapping task team which also includes a number of other units within the SAPS, working closely with private security partners managed to find the kidnapped victim, safe and alive at an identified address in Diepkloof, Soweto.  They also managed to trace the fourteen kidnappers at various locations, the first eight were traced to an apartment in Greenstone Park and the rest were arrested in Sandton.  Multiple speed point machines, a large sum of cash that was withdrawn from the victim’s bank account, two firearms including a firearm stolen during a house robbery in Linden in 2023, are among the items that have been seized and recovered from the kidnappers.  The SAPS has in recent

 Argentina beat Colombia 1-0 to win Copa America Lautaro Martinez scored an extra-time winner as Argentina beat Colombia 1-0 to win a record 16th Copa America title at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. A poor game which had been marred by security and crowd issues, forcing a 82-minute delay, was decided by a quality finish from Martinez — his fifth goal of the tournament. The win was the third straight major tournament title for Argentine following their 2021 Copa victory and their triumph in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.  'Doogie Howser, M.D.' and 'Hill Street Blues' star James Sikking dead at 90 James Sikking, who starred in shows like "Doogie Howser, M.D." and "Hill Street Blues" has died at age 90. In a statement Sunday evening, Sikking's publicist Cynthia Snyder said the actor died of complications from dementia. Snyder shared with Fox News Digital, "In a remarkable career, Sikking’s wonderfully exciting face gave us drama, comedy, tragedy and hilarious farse. His career spanned over six decades in television, film and on stage." She added, "His talent, integrity and imagination intrigued and delighted audiences." On "Doogie Howser, M.D.," Sikking played Dr. David Howser, father to the title character of the series, played by Neil Patrick Harris. Before that, he starred as Lt. Howard Hunter on "Hill Street Blues," a clean-cut Vietnam War veteran who headed the Emergency Action Team of the Metropolitan Police Department.

 Lionel Messi in tears as he leaves Copa América final with injury Lionel Messi left the Copa América final between Argentina and Colombia on Sunday night with an apparent ankle injury. The FOX Sports broadcast showed Messi in tears on the sidelines as he sat on the bench to watch his team for the final 30 minutes or so. It was a heartbreaking end for Messi as he helped lead the team back to the final to defend their title. Messi was initially injured in the first half when he went down near the end line after his foot was accidentally stepped on. He was down for several minutes before walking up the sideline and deciding to play the rest of the half. He seemed as though he was ready to compete for the rest of the game as he was seen making moves with the ball. In the second half, Messi went down again and this time for good.  Ex-Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Files N3bn Defamation Suit Against Kaduna Lawmaker, Henry Marah The immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has filed a defamation suit, seeking N3 billion as damages against a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Henry Marah. The suit followed an interview granted by Mr Marah on Channels TV on June 5 after an ad-hoc committee set up by the Kaduna State House of Assembly submitted its report on the eight-year tenure of Mr El-Rufai. In a concurrent writ of summons filed by his legal representatives, A. U. Mustapha and Co., dated July 8, Mr El-Rufai said the lawmaker’s utterances during the programme were malicious, defamatory, injurious and had caused him loss of goodwill and reputation. The case with suit CV/3188/24/has Mr Marah and Channels TV as the first and second defendants, respectively. He accused the television station of providing a platform for the lawmaker to make the defamatory comments he complained about, and
