The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.      President Buhari assents to Bill amending the Deep Offshore (and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contract) Act on 4th Nov 2019 Deep Offshore Bill 1: President Buhari this afternoon assented to the Bill amending the Deep Offshore (and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contract) Act, recently passed into law by the National Assembly. The amended Bill will generate at least 500 million US dollars additional revenue for the Federal Government in 2020, and over one billion dollars from 2021. With him is Chief of Staff Abba Kyari.

The Governor, in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, praised the gallantry of officers of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army who foiled an attempted attack on one of the universities in Lagos. Referring to the operation that led to the arrest of the Boko Haram suspects by the military operatives, the Commissioner maintained that the security apparatus of the State has strategies in place to forestall any threat to the peace that exists in Lagos.        The EFCC, Lagos office, has arrested a couple, Rowly Isioro a former Assistant General Manager with one of the first generation banks (Name withheld) and his wife Ovuomarhoni Naomi Isioro, a business woman, for their alleged involvement in Business Email Compromise, BEC, and money laundering. The couple were alleged to have laundered the total sum of One Million and Forty-nine Thousand Dollars ($1.49m) which was all egedly transferred to Ovuomarhoni Naomi’s bank account in Nigeria. Their arrest followed a petition received by the Commission from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, through the office of their Legal Attache, United States Consulate Victoria Island Lagos, about their alleged involvement in computer related fraud, stealing and money laundering.More photos below.

EFCC ARRESTS SIX SUSPECTED YAHOO BOYS IN ABUJA.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      In its war against internet fraud across the country, the Abuja Zonal office of the EFCC, on Thursday, October 31, 2019, raided the residences of suspected yahoo-yahoo fraudsters at Block E, Flat 1, KAPLAN Estate, Katampe Abuja. Six suspects were arrested in the operation. Those arrested were: Chukwuebuka Temple Ohanse, Uriel Sunday Bassey, Stanley Wisdom, ADEJUYIGBE Andrew, Daniel Uduoroborie and Godfrey Bassey. Some of the items recovered include several mobile phones, laptop computers, and 2 cars. They will be charged to court soon.More photos below.

       Angela Okorie is currently in a hospital in Lagos nursing the serious injuries she sustained when she fell into an open drainage outside a club in Lagos state last night. The actress and mum of one posted a video of herself on her sick bed and recounted what happened. In her words: Coming out of @clubquilox this morning I fell into the drainage at the car park. GOV. OBIANO: THERE ARE EVIL SPIRITS IN ANAMBRA GOVERNMENT HOUSE.{PHOTO}.

      Willie Obiano, on Saturday, admitted the presence of evil spirits in the Government House. The governor made the statement at the Province of the Niger, Anglican Prayer Rally of Anambra State (APRAS) 2019, with the theme “The Righteous shall Flourish like Palm Tree”, held at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme square, Awka Anambra state. Obiano, who spoke through the secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwub elu said there are evil spirits in the state house. The governor, who was reacting to the ministration of Bishop of Ogbaru, RT. Rev. Prosper Amah, who said there were evil spirits in the society, said there were also evil spirits in the government house, that come and go. Obiano urged the church to pray for the evil spirits to leave the government house permanently, so that government can provide quality services to the people. “In the government House, the evil spirits come and go. We urged the church to pray hard to let them leave the government for good,” he said.
