 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

PREGNANT WOMAN ARRESTED WITH 1,441KG IMPORTED SKUNK IN LAGOS RAID.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

 Pregnant woman arrested with 1,441kg imported skunk in Lagos raid . Over 4,000kg narcotics seized in 8 other states Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have raided two clandestine drug stores in Lagos where a pregnant woman Eze Joy Chioma was arrested with 1,442 kilograms of imported skunk while four men including a 62-year-old Basset Emmanuel were arrested with 182,000 tablets of Tramadol. The 27-year-old Chioma Eze was arrested on Friday 17th Dec when operatives raided her store and home in Ojo area of Lagos while another suspect, Michael Oroke was also nabbed with 29kg of the illicit drug in the same location. The previous day, 16th Dec, operatives had equally raided a hideout in Abule-egba area of the state where Basset Emmanuel, Ezekwem Lawrence, Mohammed Aliyu, and Suwidi Isiaku were arrested with 182,000 tablets of Tramadol 225mg. The Lagos Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, December 17, 2021, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Linda Mabi-Praise, a self-acclaimed prophetess, before Justice S.O. Solebo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos for an alleged N128 million fraud.   Mabi-Praise, who was charged with three counts, was alleged to have, with intent to defraud, dishonestly obtained the said sum from Accelsor Investment Partners Limited in the guise that her company, Mutano Energy Ltd., was an accredited oil and gas dealer and that she was into oil and gas dealership.

A Nigerian man and a member of Apostle Johnson Suleman's Omega Fire Ministries Child who works as a cabbie in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), got honoured for his integrity after he returned 100, 000 Dirhams, (N12 million) that was forgotten in his cab, IgbereTV reports. The taxi driver who attends Omega Fire Ministry (Dubai-UAE) and identified as Abraham Airaodion discovered that a passenger had forgotten the whopping amount of money in his taxi and so he showed true integrity and returned it. Abraham who works with Sharjah Taxi Cooperation was honoured by the organization on Monday, December 13, 2021.
