 TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE CAPTIVES IN KANGARWA The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has recorded yet another significant humanitarian success with the rescue of over 47 persons, mostly women and children who were held captive by ISWAP terrorists in Kangarwa, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State on 20 June 2026.  The successful rescue operation was made possible through sustained aggressive pressure and relentless offensive operations conducted by OPHK troops against ISWAP enclaves in the Lake Chad region. The unrelenting ground and air offensives forced the terrorists to abandon their positions in confusion, enabling the victims to escape from prolonged captivity.  The rescued persons are currently being seen by medical professionals at a secure location.              Witnesses who fled said today friday that suspected Islamist Boko Haram fighters have abducted dozens of boys and men in a raid on a remote village in northeast Nigeria,loading them onto trucks and driving them off.Halima Adamu a witness who also fled after sunday's raid on Doron Baga,a sandy fishing viliage near the shores of Lake Chad,said militants clothed in military and police uniforms had burned several houses and that 97 people were unaccounted for.''They left no men or boys in the place,only young children,girls and women''.The people they kidnapped are they Ebola free?

NIGERIA AND OTHER EBOLA AFFECTED COUNTRIES BARRED FROM YOUTH OLYMPIC IN CHINA.

             According to the International Olympic committee and Chinese organisers said today friday that ''Athletes from affected areas will not compete in combat sports and also decided that no athletes from the region would compete in the pool.The decision was made with regards to ensuring the safety of all those participating in the games taking place in the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing''.They did not reveal nationalities and names of the athletes affected by the decision.According to the youth Olympic website,there were a total of 25 people on the team lists of Ebola hit countries like Sierra Leone,Liberia,Guinea and Nigeria.It was not immediately clear how many of the 25 competitors had already arrived in Beijing nor why only one swimmer had been barred,given that there were three from the affected countries.
