  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. PRESS RELEASE  IRELE OBASHIP: GOV AKEREDOLU CALLS FOR ARREST OF ADEMOLA IDOWU OLOWORIYIBI OVER IMPERSONATION  Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has called for the arrest and prosecution of one Mr. Ademola Idowu Oloworiyibi for parading himself as the Olofun of Irele, in Irele Local Government Area Of the State.  In a letter addressed to the Commissioner of Police in the State and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, the State Government noted that no person has been approved or appointed as the Olofun of Irele kingdom.  The Government described the activities of Oloworiyibi as overreaching and illegal, adding that it is capable of causing disaffection amongst the peace-loving people of the ancient town which consequences can be better imagined. POLICE ARREST 19 SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS IN KATSINA.(PHOTOS).

Police arrest 19 suspected armed robbers in Katsina The Police Command in Katsina State had arrested 19 suspected armed robbers and also recovered 13 vehicles suspected to have been stolen by them. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Idris Dauda-Dabban, disclosed this while addressing newsmen about the suspects on Wednesday in Katsina. He said, “It will be recalled that recently, residents especially of the Katsina metropolitan area, were bedeviled with the activities of a syndicate that specialized in house breaking, armed robbery and theft of vehicles. “The command did not rest on its oars, but launched a manhunt for the dare-devil criminals and to God be the glory, it succeeded in cracking down the syndicate terrorising the state. “A total of 19 suspected members of the syndicate, including their ring leader were arrested and 13 suspected stolen motor vehicles were recovered by the command. “On July 31, the syndicate broke and attacked the residence of one Nura Lawal of Modoji

THREE MEN DECLARED MISSING AFTER THEY ATTENDED A WEDDING IN OWERRI.(PHOTOS).

MISSING PERSONS!!! This is to inform the general public that the three young men whose pictures appears below have been declared missing.  The three young men with names; ALAEFULA CHIMURU COLLINS, MMADU PROMISE AND VICTOR CHIBUIKE who base in Owerri, Imo state attended a wedding ceremony in Isiala Mbano LGA on Sunday 28th August 2022 with a gray color Lexus RX 330 have been unable to to return back to their respective homes from the event. Information to reach them through their mobile devices and social media handles proves abortive.   None of their family members have been able to figure out their current location up till now. However, we have launched search for them and have also reported the matter to State CID Owerri Imo State for their swift intervention.  If you have any information regarding the sudden disappearance of these three young men or update about this ongoing investigation, please contact me or report to the nearest police station. Ex-Police spokesman in Rivers, Nnamdi Omoni dies few days after celebrating birthday Former spokesman of Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni is dead. SP Omoni died on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital and the cause of his death is still unknown. He had celebrated his birthday last Friday in Port Harcourt. Before his death, Omoni was the Divisional Police Officer for Elimgbu police station in Obio Akpor local government area. He took up the position after his was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police. The Rivers State Police command was, however, yet to issue a statement on the latest incident.

     21-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR STEALING BOSS’ CAR TO FUND RELOCATION ABROAD   Operatives of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested 21-year-old Temple Samuel for stealing his boss’ Lexus ES 330 car.  The suspect was arrested in the Ogba area of Lagos State with three others, namely Benjamin Bassey aged 32, Chukwuemeka Okorie aged 29 and Joshua Agboche aged 37, who had conspired with him to sell the car.  Investigation revealed that the suspect who works in his boss’ car wash at Egbeda drove the car away in the middle of the night, with his boss’ iPhone X and iPhone 13 to Bassey’s house in Ikeja. He equally fraudulently transferred N75,000 from his boss’ account.  The suspect had perfected plans to use the proceeds of the sales of the car and other valuables he stole to process his traveling out of the country.    In the meantime, Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has directed that the case be transferred to the State CID, Panti for further investigations and prosecuti

Kaduna NNPP Members Demand Sack Of Party’s Gov Candidate, Hunkuyi A coalition of youth support groups within the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kaduna state has called on the party’s national leadership to immediately replace the state’s Governorship candidate, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi for alleged anti-party activities and high handedness. Members of the coalition who staged a peaceful protest against the former Senator on Tuesday, accused him of secretly working for the success of the All Progressive Congress in the state and has also traded his candidacy to the ruling party ahead of the 2023 elections. The aggrieved NNPP Youth who took their protest to the party’s secretariat in the Kaduna state capital, insisted that the party must replace Senator Hunkuyi with a better and uncompromising governorship candidate if the party must win the election in 2023 . IGP Usman Charges Newly Decorated Officers On Professionalism. The Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman has decorated thirty-nine police officer recently promoted from Deputy Superintendents of Police to Superintendents of Police serving in the Anambra State Command of the force. The decoration which took place at Anambra State Police Command Headquarters in Awka, attracted friends and well-wishers of the promoted officers. EFCC Arrests Nine Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Abuja Operatives of  the Abuja Zonal Command of the EFCC have arrested nine (9) suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation. The suspects are Bassey Sunday Junior, Samson Zachariah, Ogonyi Jeremiah,  Sunday Martins,  Austin Yayison, Wilson Chinaza, Emmanuel Adeyi, Samuel Mark and Emmanuel Bassey. They were arrested on Tuesday, August 30, 2022  at Voque Hotel in the Mararaba Area of Abuja for alleged involvement in cybercrimes. Thirteen (13) phones, three laptops and a Harman/Kardon music box were recovered from them.

Recover Rocket Launchers Troops of Headquarters 82 Division Nigerian Army, made up of troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, in conjunction with troops of Nigerian Navy, Air Force and other security agencies on Tuesday 30 August 2022 neutralized two combatants of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militant wing Eastern Security Network (ESN) along Eke Ututu - Ihitte Nansa road in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.  The troops encountered the dissidents while carrying out a raid operation around the general area of Orsu Ihitte Ukwa and Ihitte Nansa. The neutralized members had taken position to launch one of their primed rocket launchers, when they were engaged and taken out by the vigilant troops. The fearless troops were unhurt, as Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) deployed by the irredentists exploded at Eke Ututu Market, destroying some of the shops in the market.
