 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

MACHAR ACCUSED SOUTH SUDAN GOVERNMENT,OF TRYING TO BREAK THE CEASE FIRE AGREEMENT.

               Today monday,South Sudan's rebel leader Riek Machar accused government forces of repeatedly breaking a ceasefire and putting at risk the peace deal that was signed.President Salva Kiir who signed the peace pact on wednesday also complained about the rebels attack.The U.N Security Council has warned both sides that it could impose sanctions if the deal collapses.Machar who spoke with Reuters in an interview in Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa said ''There is danger that is looming that could wreck this peace agreement now.We believe that this is an act that is a serious violation to the ceasefire because what it does is provoke our troops that are in control of these areas''.Machar is expected to become first vice president during a three year transitional period envisaged by the peace deal that aims to end the 20 months of conflict.

46 AMBULANCE AND OTHER ITEMS,COMMISSION TODAY BY GOVERNOR AMBODE OF LAGOS STATE.

                Today monday the 31st of August 2015,Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode,commissioned 46 ambulances and handed over 10 Hilux vans and 15 motorbikes to the police.46 ambulances included 20 Mobile Intensive Care Unit {MICU} Ambulances and 26 Transport Ambulances.The governor said it was infulfilment of his administration's commitment to bring quality healthcare service closer to the people particularly during emergency situations.''In my inaugural address i pledged my total commitment to run a government that will leave no one behind,a government that will implement programmes that make life simpler,easier and happier for our people.Today we are launching the free ambulance service as a demonstration to that pledge''.One more photo below.

30 CIVIL SERVANTS APPREHENDED BY GOVERNOR FAYOSE TODAY,IN EKITI STATE FOR LATENESS.

                                                  Today monday,the Governor of Ekiti state Mr Ayodele Fayose who was at the Secretariat at 8:00am on the dot,apprehended over 30 civil servants who came late and directed that a disciplinary committee be set up to try them with appropriate sanctions.Many of the Civil Servants on sighting the Governor scampered around to avoid being apprehended.Meanwhile,the Governor has state that unscheduled visit will continue until appropriate discipline has been entrenched in civil service,saying he could be at the MDAs anytime.He noted that if the government is working round the clock to ensure workers salaries are paid as at when due in spite of the economic downtum,the workers should reciprocate the gesture by being alive to their responsibilities.The Head of Service Dr Olugbega,while reacting said several warnings,interface and memos have been issued on the need for civil servants to shun lateness and absenteeism.He noted that it is time to enforc

                                       Congratulation to 30 year old Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh a.k.a Poko baby,who got married to her handsome boo Oladunni Churchill.She is said to be pregnant and in her second trimester.The traditional marriage was held on saturday August 28th in her hometown Rumukanni in Rumukwuta in Obiokpor LGA River State and guess what,unlike other celebrity weddings,no well known face celebrity was in attendance for her traditional marriage.According to Tonto Dikeh,her traditional marriage cost N11.5million,and don't forget her ring was shipped from Australia and it cost $60 thousand.So if you add the cost of the ring,her total wedding amount is N11.9 Million.For now no details of her white wedding  but i wish them all the best.More photos below.
