*Fatally injured two gang members during a gun duel and recover firearm,ammunition and other incriminating items* On the 11/12/2020 at about 10:10am,there was a distress call that four armed robbery suspects who belonged to a gang led by Ikanda(a notorious armed robber presently remanded in prison custody in connection with a murder case) were operating along Zik's Avenue by Miss Ellems Onitsha. Following the distress call, Police operatives attached to Fegge Division Onitsha quickly responded and rushed to the scene.As soon as the suspected armed robbers sighted the police they engaged them into a gun duel.In the process two suspects were fatally wounded and overpowered while two others escaped .The injured Suspects one alias Dorgba and Fela whose real names are yet to unknown were rushed to the hospital for treatment but certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor and their corpses deposited at the mortuary.   Justice N.I. Buba of the Federal High Court, Enugu, Enugu State, on Thursday, December 10, 2020, committed Dr Isidore Ojukwu Nwankwo to prison for fraud. Nwankwo, former Rector, Enugu Polytechnic, Ndeabor, Ani-Nri, Local Government Area, was prosecuted by the Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on six-counts charges, bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of N1,153,700.00 (One Million, One Hundred and Fifty-three Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira), being the amount he obtained by fraud from some students of the school in contravention of Section 1(1)(a) of Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and Punishable under Section 1(3) of the Same Act.   The police operatives attached to Trade Fair Station of the Lagos State Police Command today Friday 11th December, 2020, recovered the missing mace of the Ogun State House of Assembly at Abule Ado Area of the state at about 8.30am. The police operatives, who were responsive, worked on an intelligence from the members of the community that someone in a moving vehicle, suspected to be Toyota Siena Space Wagon, threw out an object into the nearby bush and recovered the object which was later identified to be the Ogun State House of Assembly Mace. The mace had been allegedly stolen from the House of Assembly compex , Ogun State recently. It has been handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who later instructed the DCP State CID, Lagos State, Yetunde Longe, to protect the mace and liaise with the Ogun State Police Command on the return of the recovered mace to Ogun State.   Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will go into self-isolation immediately, after one of his close aides tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday (10th of December). Mr. Governor and other members of his team will be tested by the Lagos State biobank today but will remain in isolation until the results of the tests are available. We are seeing slightly increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in clusters in Lagos and all Lagosians should adhere to the prescribed advisories of safe distancing, good hand and respiratory hygiene and avoidance of unnecessary gatherings. This is not the first time Mr. Governor is having the COVID-19 test. He has had at least three since May when he announced that 10 of his aides had tested positive for the virus.   So sad how this beautiful lady {Juliet Chimeremumma Nlemadim Abakporo}  passed away few weeks before her wedding .Her wedding was supposed to on the 30th of December 2020,but she died on the 3rd of December 2020 after a brief illness.She will be buried be buried today Friday 11th December,2020.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.One more photo below.

  Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has advised the Federal Government to include the East – West road among the critical infrastructural projects being funded from the coffers of the nation’s Sovereign Wealth Fund. The governor, has also noted that the Federal Government’s directive stopping State governments from funding the construction or rehabilitation of failed federal roads is inimical to the effective development, management and maintenance of road infrastructure across the country.   Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, have arrested one Williams Michael Ogwezi, also known as Dr. Williams, for parading himself as a staff of the Commission to defraud his unsuspecting victims. The suspect, a member of a syndicate that specializes in forging identity cards of the Commission as well as those of other law enforcement agencies, was arrested in Lagos, following a report received by the Commission from the the Nigeria Police Area Command. Ajah, Lagos Investigation revealed that the suspect had defrauded one of his victims, a lady, of jewelry valued at N10, 000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) before his arrest. The suspect, in his statement to the Commission, confessed to have been involved in the alleged crime.
