 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. SUPERMODEL ''IMAN'',LOST HER MOTHER YESTERDAY,2 MONTHS AFTER THE DEATH OF HER HUSBAND.

               Somali born Supermodel Iman Abdulmajid,lost her mother Mariam to the cold hands of death yesterday thursday.Iman captioned these picture she took with her parents on her wedding in Tuscany on 24 April 1992, ''Saddened by death of my mom Maryan Baadi.May Allah grant her the highest jennah.I beg that you respect my family's privacy during our time of grief #ripmaryanbaadi''.Her mother was an activist,so was her father.Her parent's came from a generation of young Somalis who were actively involved in getting independence for Somalia in 1960.Iman's mother died two months after the death of her musician husband David Bowie.She was married to her late husband 24 years ago,and they have a 15 year old named Alexandra Zahra,known as Lexi.May her mother's soul rest in peace,amen.More photos below.                                                                                                                     

DR TUNJI BRAITHWAITE,TO BE BURIED ON THE 28 OF APRIL,2016.

                 Late Dr Tunji Braithwaite who died on tuesday will be buried April 28.The burial date was contained in a funeral programme issued by the family today friday evening.According to the programme,he will be interred at the Reverend Braithwaite Memorial Church,Papa Epe,Lagos.The three day burial arrangement will commence with a service of songs at Yard 158,Oregun street,Ikeja on April 26,while the Christian wake keep will take place at his Victoria Island residence on April 27.More photos below.                                                                                                                                      

A WOMAN DIED OF EBOLA VIRUS,YESTERDAY IN LIBERIA.

                 According to health officials,a woman has died of Ebola in Liberia,months after the West African nation was declared free of the virus and weeks after neighbouring Guinea also recorded a new flare-up.The woman was brought to a clinic in Paynesville,just east of the capital Monrovia after falling ill and was later transferred to a hospital in the city.She died on thursday.''A young lady in her early thirties died of Ebola yesterday at the Redemption Hospital''.Liberia was declared free of active Ebola transmission in January,having passed 42 days,twice the length of the virus's incubation period without a new case.While the World Health Organisation said this week that West Africa's Ebola outbreak no longer constitutes an international public health risk,the region has continued to see small flare ups even after countries received the all clear.One more photo below.                                                  

A KENYA MUSLIM MAN ''SALAH FARAH'',WHO PROTECTED CHRISTIANS IN A BUS RAID,IS SET TO BE HONOURED BY THEIR PRESIDENT.

                  Salah Farah,a Muslim teacher in Kenya who protected Christians on a bus after it was attacked by Islamist militants has been posthumously honoured for his bravery.Salah Farah was shot in the attack in north eastern Kenya in December and later died from his bullet wound.The insurgents told the Muslims and Christians to split up but he was among Muslim passengers who refused to do so.President Uhuru Kenyatta said he was awarding the Order of the Grand Warrior to Farah ''for his act of courage''.It is one of the country's top honours and is awarded by the president for exemplary service to the country.Kenyatta made the announcement during his state of the union address in parliament.He said that he was proud that Kenyan had refused to be divided by terrorism.In previous attacks in the area,Somalia based al-Shabaab militants have killed Christians and spared Muslims.The bus was packed with about 60 passengers travelling from the capital,Nairobi,to the

LAGOS STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND DONATED A PATROL VAN TO AGUDA POLICE STATION+AMBODE APPROVES CREATION OF NEW RESIDENTIAL SCHEMES.

                    Today friday it was reported that Lagos State Trust Fund donated a patrol van to Aguda Police Station,Surulere and yesterday thursday,Governor Ambode approves creation of new residential schemes.He approved the creation of three new residential schemes for allocation to residents in the state as part of efforts to meet the housing needs of Lagosians.Mr Bode Agoro,Permanent Secretary,Lands Bureau,who stated this in his office recently,reiterated the commitment of the present administration to alleviate the hardship faced by the citizens in securing comfortable accommodation at an affordable price in the state.The Permanent Secretary stated that the schemes,namely Safe Court Gardens in Ijanikin,Treasure Park in Badagry and Prince Court in Sangotedo,Lekki were carefully designed to ensure that allottees live in comfortable homes in a safe,clean and peaceful environment.He noted that the schemes will be unique,well managed and constructed with quality infrastructure to
