EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

A GHANAIAN LADY,WON THE FIRST EVER ''MISS AFRICA CONTINENT'' PAGEANT,HELD YESTERDAY IN SOUTH AFRICA.{PHOTOS}.

                    24 year old Rebecca Asamoah beat 40 contestants from across Africa at the pageant at Johannesburg's Gold Reef City Casino,yesterday saturday.At some point the contestants competed in barefoot,wearing traditional costumes and cooked African meals.South African film producer Neo Mashishi,founder of the pageant said ''The way everything was done was African,we didn't emulate anything from Miss Universe,or Miss World''.The Pageant organizers hope to partner with Africa Union so that the winner can play a role in uplifting Africa,this time,the winner won a full scholarship to study at the Monash university in Johannesburg.Congrats.More photos below.

EDO STATE GOVERNOR,INCREASED MINIMUM WAGE FROM N18,000 TO N25,000,TODAY WORKERS DAY.

                  Today sunday,Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state,who was addressing a rally organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress {NLC} and Trade Union Congress {TUC},to mark this year's Workers Day anniversary at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin,announced an increment from the present N18,000 minimum wage to N25,000.The Governor said ''With effect from today,the new minimum wage for government workers shall now be N25,000,and the new minimum wage will cut across board''.The workers who before the annoucement,expressed dissatisfaction over the poor welfare and seeming government's insensitivity to the welfare of its workers jumped for joy and happily marched in appreciation of the new minimum wage as announced by the Governor.One more photo below.

                                                        On friday 30th April 2016,the ever hard working troops of 3 Battalion,22 Brigade of Operation LAFIYA DOLE,have again succeeded in bursting a secret Boko Haram terrorists Improvised Explosive making Device factory in Ngala town,north eastern Nigeria.It will recalled that despite their defeat,the terrorist continued to attack innocent citizens,military and soft targets through vehicular and human borne Improvised Explosive Devices {IED}.Despite ongoing clearance of the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists,they persistently hid the IED manufacturing factories location.However,that would be no more,thanks to the efficient intelligence and resilience of our troops.It was based on this that we got credible and timely information that made troops to swoop on one of such factories in Ngala town and destroyed it and killed some of the Boko Haram terrorists.In addition,they recovered 20 gas cylinders of various sizes prepared and ready for
