  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. JUMIA DELIVERY MAN WAS MURDERED BY 3 SUSPECTS HE DELIVERED 2 iPHONES TO IN PORT-HARCOURT.{PHOTOS}.

                    A Jumia delivery guy was murdered in a place where he went to deliver an item around Ada George road.The three suspects who allegedly murdered the delivery man because of 2 iPhones  in Port Harcourt.According to sources,the three suspects,two males,and a female,had allegedly ordered for the phone to be delivered to them and when the delivery man took the items to them,he was murdered,tied up and thrown into a soak-away pit.Neighbours of the suspects had noticed their suspicious movements and alerted police officers who stormed the residence and arrested them.During interrogation,they allegedly confessed to the crime and took the police to the septic tank at the house located at Ada George area of the Garden City where the body of the delivery man was recovered.The delivery man had gone missing on saturday,Mach 25,2017,after he had gone to make the delivery of the phones to the suspects and had not been seen until his corpse was recovered by the police.More photos be

GOVERNOR OBIANO SETTLES MEDICAL BILLS FOR 12 PATIENTS.{READ}.

                 Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra on friday directed the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital {NAUTH},Nnewi,management to free 12 indigent children treated of various ailments.Pressmen reported that Obiano visited the hospital to see a relation on admission and was compassionate after seeing the plight of the patients including amputees.A beneficiary of the governor's gesture,Mr Paul Ifemesi,said that they had been discharged but their parents and guardians could not offset the hospital bills.He commended the governor for the gesture as the bills run into thousands of naira.Sources report that indigent patients lined up at the entrance through which the governor went to the ward to see his relation.Mr Kris Nigige,Director of Information of the hospital,while confirming the Obiano's gesture,said that the beneficiaries plans had worked when they heard of the governor's presence.''Obiano came out and learnt they were indigent patients and ordere

                  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC on Monday March 27,2017 arraigned an Enugu based businessman,Nicholas Emenike before Justice C.C. Ani of the State High Court,Enugu on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining the sum of N4,467,500 {Four Million,Four Hundred and Sixty Seven Thousand,Five Hundred Naira Only} under false pretense and issuance of dud cheque.Emenike pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.The accused on the pretext that his company Rosa Construction Company had been awarded a multi-million contract,collect iron rods worth N4.4 million from the complainant to execute part of the contract,pledging to pay up within a month.However,after many months of non-payment of the said sum,coupled with an unending excuse that the contract had been cancelled by his client,the complainant then demanded for the return of the items only to find out to his dismay,that the accused person had sold them off.All efforts to get back his money fai
