 Outcries Over State Recognised Vigilantes In North-West   The security outfits established by various state governments, especially in the North-West, are being accused of indiscriminate arrests and killing of suspects, as well as innocent people without recourse to judicial processes, findings by Daily Trust Saturday revealed. But those charged with the responsibility of managing the outfits have debunked the claims of extrajudicial killings, though some admitted what they described as “overzealousness” by some of the operatives. It was alleged that in some states, long lists of suspected bandits, their supporters or sympathisers have been arrested and ultimately killed, and such acts are allegedly being carried out without recourse to the police and other law enforcement agencies.                     In furtherance of its avowed commitment to upholding the integrity of its officers,the EFCC,on thursday,September 15,2016 arrested one of its operatives,Uzodinma Kingsley Agbazue for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy and extortion.Agbazue,a Deputy Detective Superintendent,DDS,was arrested following a complaint by a lawmaker currently under investigation by the Commission,alleging that the operative collected N15million from him with a promise to give him soft landing by compromising the investigation.According to the complainant,Agbazue allegedly approached him,claiming he had been mandated by the officer handling the case to discuss and reach an agreement on how to ''kill the case''.Following the approach,a sum of N15million was given to Agbazue whose game plan collapsed after the investing officer,who was ignorant of his scheme,refused to do his bidding.With the investigation gathering increased momentum after partiing with the hefty sum,th

A TEACHER WAS ARRESTED AFTER HE GAVE A STUDENT $4,000 TO BUY WEED.{PHOTO}.

                        According to sources who just sent in this story few minutes ago with the picture above said Kevin Pope,a science teacher at John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy,supposedly issued the beatdown after the student failed to return the $4,000 that he gave him to buy weed.The student told police that he met with a drug connect in June who wanted $7,000 for a pound of weed.Snice Pope only gave him $4,000 he spent the money and carried on with life.When Pope spotted the student walking near the school on wednesday September 21,he reportedly punched the boy multiple times,before jacking his iPhone,gold chain and wallet.He also threatened to beat the student up again,and rape his mother,accordingg to Assistant District Attorney Gerard Donahue.Meanwhile,Pope's attorney claims the boy actually stole the money from his client's briefcase.Sources further said ''Pope is currently awaiting arraignment on assault and robbery charges''.

                       Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,has assured of his administration's commitment to complete the ongoing construction of Sango-Ojodu road.The governor stated this,yesterday saturday when he visited some parts of the 32km road construction project,which comes along with five bridges,during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.Speaking during the project inspection tour,Governor Amosun promised residents and commuters whose daily activities are affected by the current state of the road that, ''the hardship of this raining season would be the last that you would experience on this road before the completion of the project''.While explaining that the road construction would have been completed but for paucity of fund,the governor described it as a huge project adding that this was why all previous administrations in Ogun State avoided it.''But we are determined to tackle it headlong and put an end to the hardship always
