With the Governorship election in Ekiti state just few months away, you will agree with me that this meeting is appropriate. In the planning of elections, every eligible voter is a stakeholder. It will interest you to know that the Commission has always involved stakeholders in all electoral activities throughout the electoral cycle. Ụmụnnem, it's another Lenten season. For me, it can only be divine that this period coincides with our transitioning into the next administration, reflecting the actual mood required for serious takeoff. In the light of our faith in God and humanity, the period of Lent reminds us of the ephemarility of life, and the need to make each day of our existence count. As we commence this solemn journey of faith, let's commit ourselves to the mortification of all things evil. Let's remind each other of the need to "die empty" - - holding back no good to the benefit of Society.   May we continue to reflect on the need to leave this Society better than we met it.  God bless us all Immensely.  CC. Alleged $1.6bn Oil Fraud: Omokore Denies Buying Houses, Cars for Diezani, NNPC Bigwigs The money laundering and procurement fraud trial of Olajide Omokore, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Ltd, Atlantic Energy Drilling Concept Limited, Victor Briggs (former managing director, Nigerian Petroleum Development Company), NPDC, and Abiye Membere resumed on Tuesday March 1, 2022 before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja with the defendants opening their defence. NPF Summons Officer Turned ‘Errand Boy’ Attached To Buhari’s Appointee, Nimota Akanbi   The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has summoned to Abuja, Yahaya Abubakar, the police orderly in a viral video holding a plate of food for his “madam”, Ambassador Nimota Akanbi.He is to report to the Force Headquarters, Abuja. Acting Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi disclosed this on Wednesday.   Adejobi warned police officers attached to Very Important Persons all over the country to stop serving purposes other than protecting them from security threats. “We have seen the policeman. APC TO BOYCOTT LG ELECTIONS IN BENUE The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has asked its members not to participate in the forthcoming local government elections that would hold in May this year. State chairman of the party Comrade Austin Agada who disclosed this during a press conference organised by the Benue State exco and stakeholders of the party in Makurdi said after consultation they came to the conclusion that APC would not field candidates  because it is a ‘selection’ not an election that would hold in May. Woman bites off her lover’s ear for giving her N365 as transport fare. The police report detailed that the woman in anger pounced on the man and bit off his left ear before it fell to the ground. More details later

  Controversy as police officer is captured carrying food for a ‘Madam’ he is protecting.  Many have questioned the habit of rich people in the society using police officers attached to them as errand boys and girls. More details later.  UPDATE  Buhari Appointee, Nimota Akanbi Turns Policeman To ‘errand boy’ At Party  Akanbi is the chairman of the National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC). She is also a former Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Netherlands. The event was said to be a Turbaning ceremony held in Ilorin, Kwara State during the weekend. In the video, the officer identified as Yahaya Abubakar was seen carrying Akanbi’s plate as she went about dishing food from the array of food provided at the party.
