 "Worth It" — Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatally Shooting 11-Month-Old Son to Keep Him From Father Madeline Veronique Daly, 36, pleaded guilty this week in Silver City, New Mexico, to first-degree murder in the December 23, 2025 killing of her 11-month-old son, Basil Stoner. Grant County deputies had tracked her to an RV off Highway 15 on a Wyoming kidnapping warrant after she took the baby during a custody dispute with his father, Jake Stoner. While officers waited for a warrant and tried to negotiate, Daly put a 9mm handgun to the boy’s face and fired. According to the criminal complaint, Daly told investigators her thought when she saw law enforcement approach was: “Jake can’t get Basil.” After her arrest she said it was “worth it” if Basil’s father and his family never got him. SKYE BANK WAS ON FIRE TODAY+CBN EXTENDS BVN REGISTRATION.

              Today i took out my time for my Bank Verification Number,since it was announced that the dead line for the BVN is this wednesday.While waiting for the verification process to start,fire broke out from one of the office in Skye bank Omole phase 2 Ikeja and there was a lot of smoke everywhere.The smoke and the fear of the fire hurting anybody,made the bank security men to open the security doors for all the customers to rush out of the bank immediately.Thank God,nobody was hurt but that made the BVN process very slow as the fire affected their internet,i left my house around 8:am but i left the bank around 5pm today monday.The banks staffs were operating from one point out of the two verification point they have.CBN introduced the exercise in 2014 to enable banks check fraudulent practices by customers.During the verification process,a Skye bank staff announced that CBN has extended the deadline to September not wednesday these week again.M...
