The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.         The Air Task Force (ATF) for Operation DIRAN MIKIYA has neutralized no fewer than 10 armed bandits at Sububu Forest area in Zamfara State. This was achieved yesterday, 22 April 2019, while the ATF was responding to a request for close air support by ground troops of Sector 7 Area of Responsibility of Operation SHARAN DAJI, who had come into contact with armed bandits in Shinkafi Local Government  Area (LGA). Accordingly, the ATF dispatched 2 Alpha Jets and an attack helicopter to provide the needed support and also conduct armed reconnaissance over identified locations in Shinkafi LGA as well as Sububu and Dumburum Forests and environs. At Sububu Forest, one of the Alpha Jets spotted a group of armed bandits, who fired at the aircraft with their rifles, whilst running for cover.          Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Taskforce) Unit have arrested a notorious thief responsible for robbery and pick-pocketing across the metropolis. The Taskforce Chairman, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the suspect was nabbed on Costain Bridge in Surulere by the Enforcement and Monitoring patrol team of the Agency during a routine patrol of the area. In his words, "The suspect and three others, presently at large, were nabbed after they jumped down from a commercial bus on Costain Bridge immediately they suspected that a patrol team of the Agency was trailing them right from Ojuelegba".       Some troops of 72 Special Forces (SF) Battalion Makurdi, deployed for internal security operation in Katsina - Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, have averted what could have been a terrible clash between two Tiv clans - Shitile and Ikyora in the early hours of today Monday the 22nd of April 2019. The efforts of the troops was sequel to information received about the planned attack on Katsina - Ala town by Shitile armed bandits. Hence, the 72 SF Battalion troops laid an ambush along the suspected route where they intercepted the armed fighters/attackers. IGP M.A Adamu NPM, mni has ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of all persons involved in the unprovoked and gruesome attack on Police officers who were on a legitimate mission to arrest some suspected armed robbers and receivers of a stolen vehicle in a community in Cross River State. The attack which occurred on the 17th April, 2019, at Ogoja Community, was masterminded and executed by one Ikenga, a notorious receiver of stolen property, and his gang members. A MAN SOLD HIS MOTHER WITH HUNCH-BACK FOR N7M TO RITUALIST IN ONDO STATE.

       Detectives from Ondo State Police Command are on the trail of a man, who allegedly sold his mother with hunchback to suspected ritualists for seven million naira. Police are also on the trail of the suspected ritualists, who are believed to have targeted the 60 year-old victim, because of her hunchback. The woman identified as Mrs. Rukayat Abodunde, was abducted by two gunmen who came to her home in Ayetoro Street in Ondo town, pretending to have come to buy fish from her, according to  The Nation . The newspaper said the abduction reportedly took place around 10pm, without indicating the actual date of the incident. According to the report, the suspected kidnappers reappeared few days after the abduction of the woman to demand refund from her son, after they discovered that the hunchback was not natural, but caused by an accident.            In an action that broke the old tradition of staying above politics, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Rt. Rev. Fr. Stephen Mamza delivered a homily in which he spoke angrily against President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he described as “sleeping on duty as Commander-in-Chief.” This is not a fair comment. There is so much that has changed in the past three to four years in and around Yola, and the Catholic Church in particular that a true assessment would show that but for the Change Administration of President Buhari, things would have continued the way they were, or even get worse. These could not have happened if a Commander-in- Chief was asleep. Bishop Mamza was, and is still a strong member of the Adamawa Peace Initiative, API, composed of religious and community leaders which did the lovely work housing and feeding 400,000 displaced people from Northern Adamawa and Borno States in 2015. The API also did the extraordinary work of easing tensions between Muslims and
