  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.                   President Barack Obaama received a warm welcome as he arrived Kenya late today friday for his first presidential visit to his father's homeland.According to sources,Obama's Air Force One plane landed today evening in the Kenyan capital,where he will co-host a conference on boosting entrepreneurs in Africa before traveling on to Ethiopia.After being greeted by President Uhuru Kenyatta and other top Kenyan officials including a little girl with flowers,Obama was given a tour of the capital.Hours before Obama's arrival,police blocked major roads and emptied streets of traffic in the usually congested capital as part of a huge security operation.In the darkness,excited Kenyans lined parts of the route to his hotel,cheering Obama as he passed by.More photos below.

3,000 GHOST POLICE PENSIONERS,DISCOVERED BY PTAD.-D.G OF P.T.A.D.

                                           According to the Director General of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate {PTAD}Nellie Mayshak,said they have discovered 3,000 ghost pensioners in the police pension scheme.She made the disclosure at a two day sensitisation workshop in Abuja yesterday thursday saying ''When PTAD was first given the police pensions payroll,it contained 18,000 pensioners which we thought were all genuine.But when we went around the states to verify,we discovered that there were 15,000 pensioners in the police.If we had not made this discovery,we would have been paying pension to these non-existing 3,000 pensioners''.She said that the diectorate saved the Federal Government more than N100 million monthly which would have been paid to the ghost pensioners.She said PTAD was partnering with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission {EFCC} and Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission {ICPC} to ensure that pension

PRESIDENT OF BURUNDI NKURUNZIZA,DECLARED WINNER TODAY,AFTER TUESDAY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION,FOR THE THIRD TERM.

           According to an official election results announced today friday,President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza has won for the third term in office.Nkurunziza won 69.41% of the vote in tuesday's vote.The election commission said ''This is the first round victory''.Nkurunziza's candidacy was denounced as unconstitutional by the opposition and provoked months of protests and an attempted coup when he traveled out of Burundi.Although eight candidates were on the ballot paper for the presidential polls,most of them withdrew from the race,with the closure of most independent media preventing them from campaigning.A lot of people took to the street to demonstrate against his third term return,most of them lost their lives in the process,but their death seems for nothing,now their President is back for the third term.

A RESTAURANT IN JAPAN,NOW SERVE A WHOLE PIG AS A DISH.''DISGUSTING''.

                 Hmmm,i just got these information that a Japanese restaurant has recently introduced this strange new dishes which includes a whole pigs {not made from pork}but Tufo.The move of making these pigs has scared away many of their customers.Other people consider this whole pig dishes as a reminder of how cruel it is to kill and eat animals.Even if am a meat lover,the mere sight of a whole pig on my plate is disgusting and i am not looking forward to such experience.In Nigeria,the most common animal cruelty is a dish they call Asun {roasted meat with pepper}.They will put a whole goat or any other eatable animal on an exposed grill for it to roast.What do you think about this whole pig dishes?.More photos below.
