ISIS Senior Leader Killed and Four U.S. Servicemembers Wounded in Helicopter Raid in Northeastern Syria. Last night,during a partnered U.S and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Helicopter raid in northeastern Syria,an explosion on target resulted in four U.S service members and one working dog wounded. The targeted ISIS senior leader,Hamza al-Homsi,was killed.The U.S Service members and working dog are receiving treatment in a U.S. medical facility in Iraq.  

KDSG Security Update: Friday 17th February 2023.  Troops neutralize seven bandits in Chikun LGA  A combined team of troops of the Nigerian Army and Navy have neutralized seven bandits during clearance operations in the Kasso general area of Chikun LGA.  Operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government revealed that the troops embarked on the operations, and made contact with bandits around Ungwan Rimi village in Kasso, near a river. CBN denies asking banks to accept old N500 and N1000 The Central Bank of Nigeria has denied authorizing the deposit banks to collect the old N500 and N1000 bank notes. Thus was contained in a statement by the Director of Corporate Communication of the apex bank Osita Nwanobi and copies made available to newsmen today in Abuja. He reiterated that in line with President Muhammadu Buhari directives only the N200 notes will be re issued and circulated as legal tender until April 10, 2023.

 CBN Orders Banks To Collect Old N500, N1,000 Notes The Central Bank of Nigeria has ordered banks to start collecting the old N500 and N1,000 notes from the public with immediate effect. It, however, pegged the maximum amount the banks can collect at N500,000. The CBN maintained that the old currencies were no more legal tender. A source from the bank said the CBN ordered the banks to collect the monies instead of going to the CBN office following difficulties encountered in getting access to the bank. A CBN official said, “Go to your bank but fill out the form before you go. Go with the reference code you generate. With your code, banks will collect it from you. Anambra State Police Command today 17/2/2023 calls on the public especially residents of Abia, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers State to help us identify these children, for a possible reunion with their parents. They are David Frang Male Age 8yrs, Sarah Frang female age 3yrs and Chibuchi Sunday male age 7yrs were recovered from individual suspects who are already in custody.  Given the confessions of the suspects, the children were taken away from their parents in the respective states mentioned above and brought to Anambra State. EFCC Docks Yahoo 'Porn star’ The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Command, today, February 16, 2023 arraigned one Emmanuel Bassey before Justice J.A Aina of the FCT High Court, Kuje on one count charge bordering personation. Billionaire businessman declared missing 17 February 2023  One of China's most high-profile investment bankers has gone missing, his company has reported. Bao Fan, the chief executive of China Renaissance Holdings, had not been able to be reached in recent days, the firm said in a market update on Thursday. Mr Bao is a leading dealbroker in China whose clients include top tech companies Didi and Meituan. His firm's announcement has renewed concerns of a potential Beijing crackdown on business and tech leaders.
