CALAMITOUS: This industrious young man, Charles Chukwu, was gunned down by suspected asassins yesterday in Abakaliki. His wedding was slated for 23rd of this of month. He is from Ikwo, in Ebony state. According to his brother👇👇👇 'He owned two shops, one in the street where he sold provision and the next one at the international market, Abakaliki. He was assassinated in one of his shops at night after he had closed at night. He and his wife to be had locked their shop only for him to enter inside his car, some unidentified men on the bike rushed and shot him twice.' RIP, Mr. Chukwu. More photos below.

The son, however, discovered an old album in his father's room where photos of the secret affair were found, including a wedding picture. It believed that he got married to the secret wife in the church years before he met Osinachi, the previous marriage went sour with a child in-between. This he hid from his late wife Osinachi. FCT Police Nab 98 ‘bola boys’, Plans To Return Them The Federal Capital Police Command has arrested at least 98 scavengers popularly known as ‘baban bola’ over alleged stealing of residents’ properties. Parading the suspects on Monday at the command’s headquarters, the Deputy Police Commissioner, DCP Ben Igwe said Abuja is not for everybody, he revealed that the command would deport the suspects to their states of origin. “We are working towards clearing them from the FCT. We will keep doing that and we will not relent. “We recovered from them several things that they are not supposed to scavenge. They steal properties while claiming to scavenge refuses.

About 78 Plateau State Residents Killed By Terrorists In One Day Sources from communities in Kanam Local Council of Plateau State claimed that the gunmen that attacked Kukawa, Gyambawu, Dungur, Kyaram, Yelwa, Dadda, Wanka, Shuwaka, Gwamnadaji and Dadin Kowa villages on Sunday killed 78 persons. A resident of an affected community, Fanya Ali, told journalists that 36 persons were killed in Kukawa, 24 in Gyambawu, eight in Kyaram and 10 in Wanka. According to him, the number of dead bodies in the bush is still unknown, same with the number of houses razed. He also disclosed that many injured victims were admitted in Dengi General Hospital and Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) Another witness, who gave his name as Sariki Bitrus, said that over 70 persons, mostly women and children, were abducted. However, the Plateau State Police Command could not give the accurate number of casualties at press time.

New APC National Chairman, Adamu Resigns From Senate The Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the 9th Senate, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has resigned following his election as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Anambra House Of Assembly Confirms Ezeokenwa As Commissioner Designate  Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa as commissioner designate for special duties.  The House confirmed his appointment during plenary following the report of the House committee on Screening and Election matters, presented by the chairman of the committee, Dr. Paschal Agbodike which found him suitably qualified to serve as a Commissioner in the government of Anambra State.  Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor read out his confirmation, while the House supported it through voice vote.
