 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

22 BOKO HARAM DEAD AFTER THEY ATTACKED NIGERIAN TROOPS YESTERDAY IN LOGOMANI.

                 At about 1.00am yesterday sunday 25th September 2016,some suspected remnants of Boko Haram fighters attacked our troops location of at Logomani along Dikwa-Gambarou road, Borno State,in a 3 waves attack using 36 Hand Grenades and Rocket Propelled Launchers.Our troops fought gallantly and repelled the attack which lasted for about one hour.At the end of the fierce encounter,the troops counted 22 dead bodies of Boko Haram fighters.They also recovered 2 AK-47 Rifles,1 G3 Rifle and some 36 Hand grenades.Unfortunately,we lost 4 solders and their rifles as a result of the effect of Boko Haram use of Rocket Propelled Grenades,while 2 soldiers were wounded in action.The wounded in action have been evacuated for further medical management.The location have been reinforced and replenished while the troops have continued their clearance operations.                          Witness in the ongoing trial of the personal assistant to Former President Goodluck Jonathan on domestic matters,Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel Dudafa today told the Lagos Federal High Court presided by Justice M.B Idris how he received a total sum of N1,667,162,800 {One Billion,Six Hundred and Sixty Seven Million,One Hundred Sixty Two Thousand,Eight Hundred Naira Only} from the former presidential aide through five different companies betewwn 2013 and 2015.The companies are Pluto Properties and Investment Limited,Avalon Global Property,Rotato Interlink Services,Seagate Property and Ebiwise Services Limited.The witness,Murtala Bashir Abubakar made the disclosure when he was led in evidence by the prosecution counsel Rotimi Oyedepo and was asked to explain to the court his relationship with Dudafa.The witness a Bureau de Change operator who plies his trade under three different companies,Na Mu Duka Ventures,Yamusa Oil Services Limited and 313 Ventures informed the court

                          According to one of my source in Ghana Sam Mensah he said today,some residents of Accra can this morning hop onto the newly introduced 'Ayaalolo' buses for free,under the Bus Rapid Transport {BRT} service.The free bus ride will be only available for passengers on one of the four routes under the BRT service-thus,Amasaman through Achimota to Circle and then to Tudu,at the Central Business District.The project which is currently on a pilot will later be extended to other parts of the country.Some commercial drivers within the Accra metropolis earlier this month threatened to embark on strike in protest against the introduction of the Bus Rapid Transport {BRT} system.The drivers,complained that the BRT will eventually drive them out of business.Roland Bruce,Marketing and Communications Manage of the Greater Accra Passenger Transport Executive,Implementer of the BRT service who was speaking to local media said that the project will bring relief to Ghanaian
