 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.                It was promised by the Central Bank of Nigeria {CBN},that the new 100 naira banked note unveiled recently by president Goodluck Jonathan,is going into circulation from today friday.This is contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Mu'azu,Head of Corporate Communications,today friday in Abuja.The statement directed all branches of the bank to commence issuance of the currency in their respective locations.''The commemorative note,will circulate alongside the existing N100 note.The note,which is embedded with features to assist the visually impaired recognise genuine notes,also has other security features easily identifiable through look,feel and tilt of the currency note''.More photos below.                                                                      ...
