 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre. SERVE WITH SKIRTS MOVEMENT PROTEST AGAINST NYSC,DEMAND INCLUSION OF SKIRTS IN NYSC UNIFORM.{PHOTOS}.

       An advocacy group, Serve With Skirts Movement protested against the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) authorities, yesterday January 16, demanding the inclusion of skirts in the youth initiative's uniform. Some young men participated in the protest which also had young women dressed in Khaki skirts carrying banners which had the inscription “there is a difference between the world and the daughters of God” and “our sisters cannot dress like men." Speaking to newsmen, leader of the group Udochi Emmanuel stated that being harassed for wearing skirts in NYSC orientation camps breached their fundamental human rights under Section 38(1) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.       In a renewed effort towards creating awareness on the Lagos State Traffic Laws on restricted areas for the operation of motorcycles popularly called Okada and tricycles known as Keke, the Lagos State Government has commenced the installation of 2,000 prohibition signs across the metropolis. The Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde disclosed that a good number of the road signs  indicate restricted areas, warning that anyone that violates the law after this effort would be punished in accordance with the law.
