 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. The suspects punched and kicked the victim.The victim fell to the ground and did not defend himself.Suspects fled location in a vehicle.The three suspects are all white males. More photos below.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Taraba State chapter, has lamented the killings of members of its vigilante group by terrorists locally known as Bandits. Speaking with Media Trust, Chairman of North East Zone of the association, Mafindi Danburan said at least 30 members of the Fulani vigilante group, a military arm of MACBAN, were murdered by the bandits as more bodies are yet to be recovered. According to him, the vigilante members were on a mission to flush out bandits from their camp in Karal near Gassol town when they were ambushed. He said bandits from Zamfara State and other states had taken over many forests and established camps.

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, has said his state will never be part of the agitation for the sovereign nation of Biafra. Umahi recently declared his bid to run for the 2023 presidency and to success Buhari. The governor on Thursday again countered IPOB saying that the state was better in a fair and equitable Nigeria, reiterating that “if anybody tells you about Biafra, Ebonyi State will never be part of Biafra." According to the governor, “Let nobody be afraid of the Presidency of an Igbo man. The Igbo man is a builder and not a destroyer. There is no Igbo man that will be the President of this country and would like to divide or destroy it because we have investments everywhere. “First and foremost, I have been saying it. Former Governor of Lagos State and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has donated the sum of N50million to families of victims of the recent killings in two Local Government Areas of Zamfara State. Tinubu made the donation on Thursday when he paid a visit to the state. At least, 58 people were reported killed last week when bandits raided some villages in Bukkuyum and Anka Local Government Areas of the state. One more photo below.

By Chibuzo Obidike (ABS Reporter) A Special Enforcement Team of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service and security operatives have embarked on enforcement drive on business premises for non - payment of taxes and levies.    The team grouped into two stormed Awka and Onitsha and environs sealing off business premises and issuing demand notices to defaulters who over the years have failed to pay their taxes after several warnings by the agency.  The premises sealed included banks, telecommunication offices, delivery agencies, laboratory centers among others and saw the enforcement teams serve the organizations court orders before sealing and locking up the premises for non payments of stamp duty.
