OSUN: ADELEKE, ASSEMBLY LOSE AS COURT AFFIRMS JUSTICE OJI AS CHIEF JUDGE. (PHOTO).

 Osun: Adeleke, Assembly lose as court affirms Justice Ojo as Chief Judge The National Industrial Court sitting in Ibadan has affirmed Justice Adepele Ojo as the Chief Judge of Osun State. The decision was contained in a judgment delivered by Justice Peters in a suit numbered NICN/IB/62/2023, on Wednesday in Ibadan. The court granted all the reliefs sought by the Osun Chief Judge against the Osun State Government and Osun State House of Assembly, including an order of perpetual injunction restraining both the executive and legislative arms of government from removing her as the number one judicial officer in the state. Matters came to a head between the Osun State Government and Justice Ojo in 2023 when the Osun Assembly passed a motion suspending her as Chief Judge of the state. An acting Chief Judge, Justice Olayinka Afolabi was appointed in her place but he refused to turn up the next day for swearing in.               Lagos Statee Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode today friday explained the rationale behind the decision of his administration to host Muslims in twenty centres across the State for the Eid-el-fitri celebration,saying that it was part of the Strategy to bring about bonding among the people and enhnce community participation in governance.Speaking at Lagos House when he received members of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs on a courtesy visit,Governor Ambode said it had been observed overtime that people travel from far and near to celebrate with the first family in the State during festivities,and that the decision to host Muslims in various centres across the State was basically to address such trend on one hand,and also to give greater number of people the sense of participation in governance on the other hand.He said: ''Like you are aware ,we intend to celebrate the Ramadan in the various communities and I need to make some explanation here,before now,anytim

                        A lady in her early 30s was on wednesday caught at Elepe,Ikorodu,Lagos.She was allegedly caught trying to take a child from her mother's room.The child's mother caught her chanting incantations on the child so she had to call the people around who helped her in holding the woman.After much beating and interrogation,she confessed that a man sent her,that she is always given N500,000 per child.The suspect was later taken to the police station.One more photo below.
