The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.       The Lagos State Government on Tuesday allayed fears over the abduction of the Director of the State Fire Service, Mr Rasaki Musibau, assuring that all hands are on deck to ensure his safe return, as well as other victims. Musibau and six others were abducted by unknown gunmen on Saturday night at about 8pm on Iwoye Bridge, along Itoikin-Epe Road. Briefing newsmen after the State Security Council Meeting chaired by the Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu again confirmed Musibau’s abduction with others, but assured that security agencies were working round the clock to rescue them safely.        Edo Crown Prince, Nathaniel Osayande Killed In Fatal Car Accident Days To His Coronation His Royal Highness, Prince Nathaniel Osayande, Crown Prince and heir to the Throne of the Kingdom of Ugu (Oba N’Ugu) and the Enogieship (Dukedom) of Umoghun Nokhua in Edo state, has passed away. According to reports, he was killed in a fatal accident which happened along Benin-Abraka expressway on Friday, April 5th, 2019. Prince Nathaniel died ahead of his coming inauguration to the throne of Ugu, billed later on this month (in a few days time). Educated in finance and accounting, the late Crown Prince worked to improve the lives of his community and to ameliorate the standing of the Kingdom of Ugu at home and abroad The villagers are utterly devastated and heartbroken by his passing at a very young age while in such excellent health.       A Nigerian man, Ini David, is in a thanksgiving mood after he escaped a fatal car accident that claimed the lives of all its occupants yesterday April 7th.        The Nigerian Navy Ship Delta, NNS Delta, today, April 8, 2019 handed over a motor vessel, MV Mama Elizabeth 1 and eight crew members allegedly involved in illegal oil bunkering to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office for further investigation and possible prosecution. The suspects are: ThankGod Ojuyaina, Ambrose Ejedafeta, Aaron France, Joseph Ogeneboh, Christopher Egba, Obara ko Ovie, David Sunday and John Eyengho. Captain Adeyemi F. Adewuyi who represented the Commander of NNS Delta at the handing over in Warri stated that the vessel, MV Mama Elizabeth 1, was intercepted on March 15, 2019 along Escravos River by FOB Escravos. The vessel was allegedly loaded with 100,000 litres of AGO without valid naval approval. Speaking while receiving a delegation of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, in his office earlier today, Prof Osinbajo said, “We have a good opportunity to do something about the National Health Insurance; it is obvious that government, both Federal Government and State Governments, cannot adequately provide healthcare for almost 200million Nigerian people.” Citing India as an example, he mentioned that India has the most privatized healthcare system in the world, with individual States being responsible for providing healthcare. In addition, VP Osinbajo emphasized the need for “Doctors to be remunerated properly regardless of their location, either rural or urban locations. We must find a logical way of addressing this issue.”

     Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Office on Saturday, April 6, 2019 arrested five suspected train ticket racketeers. They include, Clement Zakka, Udim Sunday Samson, Adams Danladi, Otitomoni Omobolanle and Hassan Dauda. The Commission swung into action after receiving an intelligence report alleging that some group of people at the Idu and Kubwa train stations have been racketeering train tickets making it difficult for passengers to have access to tickets and further sabotaging government efforts in ensuring easy transportation across the country. The suspects were arrested during a sting operation at the stations. They will soon be charged to court.One more photo below.

RE-WOMAN FEARED KILLED BY ARMY VAN IN ABA.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The attention of the Headquarters 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army Ohafia is drawn to a publication claiming reckless treatment of a woman accidentally hit by a Nigerian Army hilux vehicle at the Ogbor Hill Water Side Bridge, close to Eyimba hotel, along Aba/Ikot Ekpene highway on Friday the 6th of April 2019. It should be noted that the accident was immediately formally reported to the appropriate Army authority in whose area of responsibility the accident happened. The victim was rushed to Rosevern Hospital, Owerri Road, Aba for medical treatment by the Army and the medical expense was paid accordingly. Presently the victim is in a stable condition.          The Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP MA Adamu, NPM, mni has assured the people of North West and North Central Nigeria that the Nigeria Police Force is working assiduously in collaboration with the Military and other security agencies to bring the incessant banditry attacks in the areas to a permanent end.   The  IGP gave this assurance today, 8th April, 2019 at a Security Town Hall Meeting which took place at Government Science Secondary School, Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, where he addressed relevant stakeholders, including Government Functionaries, Community Heads, Women Leaders, etc. during an on-the-spot Security assessment of the area. The IGP, who commiserated with the people over the attacks, equally called for increased supports from the community for the Security Forces deployed in their area, noting that it is only through concerted efforts of all concerned stakeholders that victory over the armed bandits can be achieved.
