 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

NIGERIAN TROOPS CAPTURE BOKO HARAM TERRORIST, NEUTRALISE MANY AND RECOVERS WEAPON.{PHOTOS}.

Troops of 202 Battalion of 21 Brigade Nigerian Army in Conjunction with elements of Mobile Strike Teams (MSTs) on Operations LAFIYA DOLE, in furtherance of clearance and blockade Operation DEEP PUNCH 2, on Saturday 25th November 2017, cleared Boko Haram terrorists' enclaves in Abusuriwa, Newchina, Bonzon, Usmanari, Goyayeri, Shitimari, Gashimari, Awaram amongst other villages in Bama Local Government   Area of Borno State. The troops whose continuous resolve in routing out the remnants of the suspected terrorists hibernating within the Brigade’s Area of Responsibility ensured that their superior fire power made the terrorists to flee in disarray leading to the capture of one suspected terrorist, while 8 of the Boko Haram terrorists were neutralized. The gallant troops were also able to recover 4 AK-47 Rifles, 3 Magazines, 7 Dane guns and Machetes, amongst other items. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts, Mr. Agboola Dabiri at a public display and launching of the electronic business directory, said the prese nt administration is exploring the advantage of technology to ease the process of doing business in the ever populated Lagos Island markets. He said with the launch of the electronic business guide, shoppers would no longer have to drive from one shop to another searching for goods or services on Lagos Island as they can easily log on to the website and contact dealers of their desired goods from their phones, laptops or desktops.         It was a sad moment for the family of an Anglican priest, Ven Ernest Ezumezu of Nnewi diocese, who reportedly collapsed and died while preaching. According to information shared on Facebook, Ven Ernest Ezumezu, died on Friday night while preaching during a crusade in Anambra state. The priest was said to have collapsed in the middle of his sermon and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Those who know him have taken to Facebook to mourn the loss. STRAY BULLET KILLS DJ AT A BURIAL OF ONE EVANGELIST IHEMEJE AT ULI,ANAMBRA STATE.{PHOTO}.

          A Disc Jockey (DJ) hired to perform at a burial ceremony in Anambra was reportedly killed by a stray bullet from the gun of a vigilante operative. The burial ceremony for Evangelist Vitalis Ihemeje was taking place in Alaife Umuaku Uli, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and Lotachukwu Nwagboso, a 34-year-old father-of-four, was playing music at the event when he was allegedly killed by one Ibeanozie, who is presently at  large. Nwagboso, from Ndikpo Umuaku Uli, was hit by a stray bullet when the vigilante operative put his gun on his motorcycle while trying to start the bike and the gun went off.Nwagboso died on the spot. The incident sparked outrage as youths of Ndikpo went on a rampage, destroying property and pulling down houses belonging to the suspect, as well as those of the family that organized the ceremony of their father.The elder brother of the suspect, Ifeanyi Ibeanozie, said they were friends to the bereaved family, hence their commitme
