     Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has paid a condolence visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti whose daughter, Funke Olakunrin was killed. The daughter of the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, was killed while travelling on Friday, July 12.The vice president on Sunday, July 14 paid a condolence visit to the Afenifere leader at his house in Ondo state. Osinbajo also extended his condolence to Idowu Olakunrin, the widower.He prayed that God would comfort the families of the deceased. The vice president also said the federal government would deploy soldiers to highways to increase security and protect travellers.Earlier media report stats that Funke was shot on Friday, July 12.           In fulfilment of his election promise to accelerate his administration’s development agenda, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday, transmitted a list of Commissioner-designates to the House of Assembly for ratification. The list contained twenty five names, who are to assume duty as Commissioners and Special Advisers upon ratification by the legislature. A statement by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, said Sanwo-Olu carefully picked the nominees based on their cognate experience in their respective professions.        Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said the State Government is working with the security agencies to bring perpetrators of the Ijegun pipeline fire to justice. No fewer than 10 people died in the fire last week Thursday, which resulted from activities of criminals vandalising oil pipelines in the community. Sanwo-Olu spoke while receiving members of the ad-hoc committee set up by the Senate to investigate the root cause of the inferno. The seven-member Committee, led by Senator Ibrahim Gobir, met with the Governor in Alausa on Friday. Sanwo-Olu hailed President of the Senate for constituting the ad-hoc Committee, following a motion by the Senator representing Lagos West, Solomon Adeola.     The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a video clip-containing photograph of an alleged Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) bought by the Nigerian military. The clip was produced, uploaded by Njenje Media TV on its YouTube channel, and circulated through whatsApp and other social media platforms. In it, they showed a photograph of group of persons with the equipment, which they   compared it to those ostensibly, owned by other nations including some of our African neighbours. This is far from the truth. Therefore, it should be disregarded in its entirety. Apart from questioning the motive of this mischievous falsehood, it is imperative to state that the Nigerian military has far more sophisticated UAV and equipment than what the medium is broadcasting.             Woman pours hot water on husband and father of her 10 children's private part, over his plans to marry a second wife. A Kano State Primary school teacher, Mallam Aliyu Ibrahim Fayan-Fayan from Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano State had hot water poured on his body targeting his private part. “Since the time I told her about my plan to marry another wife, I did not see any change of atti tude from her and we had been living together peacefully. In fact, she promised me that she would be among those that would buy the wedding items for the bride". “Last night after I returned home, I bought some meat for them.
