EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

MAN ARRESTED FOR SUPPLYING RICH LAGOSIANS CAKES,BISCUITS BAKED WITH DRUGS.{PHOTO}.

  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a man for supplying rich people in Lagos with cakes, biscuits and others produced with drugs. The man, who is the leader of the syndicate, was identified as Samuel Ebenezer.  NDLEA officials had raided some drug spots in Agege, Ikorodu, Lekki, Okokomaiko and other parts of the state, where they dismantled major drug syndicates and arrested suspects. The agency said it also seized large quantities of hard drugs. It said, “One of the drug syndicates bust during the raids is coordinated by one Samuel Ebenezer in Lekki. His cartel imports special sophisticated drugs baked in cakes, biscuits and cookies from the United States and sells to the rich and affluent people in Lekki and Lagos Island. “During the raids, a total of 90 suspects, including an Indian were arrested, while over 614 kg of various types of drugs were seized.” The Lagos State Commander of the agency, Mr. Ralph Igwenagu, gave the breakdown of the seizures as fol

Recall during the raid that evening, the three children were found naked with their hands and legs tied, as the women were alleged to pound those kids in mortar for their devilish intentions. Solomon Akuma, the young pharmacist who has been abducted and detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, for over 11 months for allegedly threatening President Muhammadu Buhari, will be appearing at the Federal High Court, Abuja, today, Wednesday, February 24. The 29-year-old was arrested for tweeting, “Pay a Russian Sniper to eliminate Buhari and Abba Kyari”, in reply to a certain tweet by a popular Twitter user, Tunde Omotoye, who had earlier tweeted, “$1,000,000 hits your account. Police in Katsina state have arrested one 31-year-old Abdullahi Umar who goes after desperate women with deceit of marriage on social media. When invited to meet the Lady's family for discussions, he will steal from them and abscond. He was arrested in Kaduna state after a victim of Katsina whom he met on Facebook invited him to her father's house to discuss marriage. After he was given a place to sleep, at midnight he stole their laptops, phones, clothes, shoes and N100k. Katsina State police spokesperson, Gambo Isah, told BBC that they don't know the actual number of victims but they expect more women to come forward with complaints.
